Student answer (Band 6.0)
There can create some major problems which may be social or practical,to live in a country where we have to speak a foreing language rather than our own native language. I agree with the statement because communication is the key to solve any kinds of problems but talking into a foreing language can act as a barrier in communication which will lead to various misunderstanding that results in major problems.
We can speak in our native language when we live in our own country but for different purpose, we need to settle in abroad where we have to speak a foreing language that is suitable to the environment of the country. As a result, we find it very difficult to speak a language that unknown to us which creates communication gap as the people misunderstand our lackings and serious social problems occur. For example, poeple in Japan take it very seriously when the foreigner does not understand their language and culture which creates social misunderstanding as foreinger are not adjusting with their cultures.
Sometimes, we work in different occupation in abroad so we must have to contact with our employee in foreing language. When we cannot speak properly or understand their words, there will be serious misunderstanding which in turn leads to the misconduction of any task in work. There are also practical problems when we go outside for shopping where we may buy something by mistake that we cannot afford because of not able to understand or speak in foreing language that hinders proper communication. For example, the workers, that move to abroad from bangladesh for employment, have been marked for being irresponsible for their communication gap also there employment journey was terminated.
In conclusion, there is no denying that speaking in a language beyond our native, will lead to some serious consequences as it creates social misunderstanding and also practical problems in worklife.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
Your position is clear from the introduction: you agree that using a foreign language can create both social and practical problems. You address both aspects, with examples involving cultural misunderstandings, workplace communication and shopping, so the response covers the task well. The explanation that communication difficulties can lead to misunderstandings is relevant, and the employment example adds support. However, some points are asserted rather than fully explained: the claim about people in Japan, for instance, generalises about their reaction without showing how a language difficulty causes a serious social problem. The shopping example is also brief. To strengthen the response further, develop one or two examples with clearer cause-and-effect detail and make the extent of your agreement explicit in the conclusion.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for social and practical difficulties, and a concluding restatement of your view. This makes the main line of argument easy to follow. You also use linking expressions such as “As a result,” “For example,” and “In conclusion” to signal relationships between ideas. At times, however, cohesion feels mechanical, with repeated references to communication problems and frequent use of “which” to connect claims. Some links are not fully clear, particularly in the long sentence about Bangladeshi workers, where the relationship between being marked irresponsible and having their employment terminated could be explained more directly. Use a wider range of transitions and clearer sentence boundaries to improve progression.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “communication gap,” “social misunderstanding,” “employment,” and “practical problems,” and your meaning is generally understandable. However, the range and control are limited by repeated use of “foreign language,” “problems,” and “misunderstanding,” as well as several inaccurate or unnatural choices. For example, “talking into a foreign language” and “misconduction of any task” do not express the intended meanings naturally; “speaking in a foreign language” and “poor performance of a task” would be clearer. Spelling errors such as “foreinger” and “poeple” also reduce accuracy. Build a more precise set of topic-related collocations and check spelling and word forms carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including cause-and-effect structures such as “When we cannot speak properly or understand their words, there will be serious misunderstanding.” This shows some range, and the main ideas can usually be understood. However, errors in sentence construction, agreement, articles and punctuation recur. The opening, “There can create some major problems … to live in a country,” is not a complete, well-formed construction; a clearer version would be “Living in a country where we must speak a foreign language can create major problems.” Other examples include “a language that unknown to us” and “we must have to contact,” which need corrected verb patterns. Review sentence formation and use commas and full stops to avoid overlong sentences.
