Student answer (Band 5.0)
Living in a country where you have to speak a foreign language can cause serious social problems, and practical problems. I totally agree with this statement because of its difficult to understand which may cause problems asa well as difficulties in practile life.
To begin with, every country have their own language for instance chinese speak chinese language, in germany people talk in german, in UAE they communicate in Arabic, in uk, USA, Canada mostely people talk in english. Nowadays it becomes necessary having a certifcate of language test to enter in foregin countries. If a person wants to study abroad IELTS required for addmission otherwise, universties will rejected your visa. Although, it may cause trouble in their practicle life. If someone wants to buy somethings for household and visit suppermarket, he could not communicate with the shopkeper easily due to language barrier.
Moreover, He face hardels which creats serious social problems for example, get a job because of he do not know how to communicate with custumers, and colluges. On of the major thing is map, he could not find his location. Additionaly, could not recogonised the road. He face many difficulties to intract with people so, he could not familier in those people.
On the other side, if a individual have language certifcate and know how to communicate. It is very easy to talk with forign people. It may help to get job and having a idea of directions East, West, South and north its easy to understand map .
overall, its to much difficult to change mother tongue. Everyone face these problem in life.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You take a clear position by saying, “I totally agree,” and discuss both practical difficulties, such as shopping and finding directions, and social challenges, including getting a job and interacting with colleagues. These examples are relevant to the question. However, the response only partially develops its ideas: the opening claim about language tests and university admission is not clearly connected to the social and practical problems of living abroad, and several points are asserted rather than explained. The brief counterpoint about having a language certificate does not fully explore how language ability might reduce these problems. To strengthen the response, explain the consequences of each example and keep the discussion focused on life in a foreign-language country.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, paragraphs beginning “To begin with” and “Moreover,” a counterpoint, and a conclusion. This gives the reader some sense of organisation. However, progression between ideas is often unclear: the discussion moves from language tests to shopping, then employment, maps, and familiarity with people without showing how these points connect. Linking phrases such as “On the other side” are not always used accurately, and the conclusion repeats the general difficulty rather than drawing together the main arguments. Some sentences also lack clear connections between clauses. Group related practical examples together, then develop the social effects in a separate paragraph, using clear references and transitions.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “language barrier,” “communicate,” “directions,” and “social problems,” which helps convey the main subject. However, the range is limited and several words or phrases are repeated, particularly “difficulties” and “communicate.” Frequent spelling errors, such as “practile,” “certifcate,” “colluges,” and “recogonised,” make the writing less clear and reduce the accuracy of your vocabulary. Some expressions are also imprecise, for example “a idea of directions” and “change mother tongue.” Build a wider set of accurate collocations for social integration, daily tasks, and employment, and check spelling carefully. More precise wording would make your examples easier to understand.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a conditional example beginning “If someone wants to buy…” and a contrast introduced by “Although.” However, complex structures are often faulty, and frequent errors in agreement, articles, verb forms, and sentence construction can make the meaning difficult to follow. Examples include “every country have,” “He face,” and “if a individual have.” The sentence beginning “Although, it may cause trouble” is incomplete because “although” introduces a dependent clause without a main clause. Punctuation is also inconsistent, especially around commas and sentence boundaries. Practise forming complete sentences and checking subject–verb agreement and articles before adding more complex clauses.
