Student answer (Band 5.0)
Residing in a foreign country where people communicate in different language can lead to significant social and everyday difficulties. I completely agree with this statement because its difficult to find out jobs as well as problem in communication.
On one hand, if you reside in the country where people communicate in different language. So its very challeging to find out a job like if you not know what people are speakind about are what they are sawing so its very hard to deal with them in every field of life. Such as in hospital, shops, hotel as well as in dairy life conversation. Therefore, it has big problem on person social problem like if you living in foreign country and there is no one to communicate with you so automatically person will spent most of his time in homes and will feel bored and stress.
On the other hand, its a problem in communication like no one will offer you any sort of jobs in any field of life like they will demend a langauge from you to communicate with other people. In addition, no one will play and talk to you so you will spend most of the time indoor activities which will cause you a physial problems as well and most of time person will fell stress and that can cause depression.
In conclusion, i strongly believe that its very difficilt to spent time where people speak diiferent language and cause both social and physicals promlems due to lackness to languages.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
Your position is clear from the introduction (“I completely agree”) and conclusion, and you address both social and practical difficulties. The examples of struggling in hospitals, shops and hotels, and feeling isolated at home, are relevant to the prompt. However, the practical side is mainly reduced to finding a job, while the social side repeats the idea of having nobody to communicate with. These points are asserted rather than explained with a specific example or fuller reasoning, so the response only partly develops its relevant ideas. To strengthen the response, explain how language barriers affect access to services or everyday tasks, and develop one social example in more detail, showing the consequences for a person living abroad.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion, and the paragraphs broadly separate practical and social effects. You also use signposts such as “On one hand,” “On the other hand,” and “In conclusion.” However, the progression within paragraphs is difficult to follow because ideas are repeated and some links are unclear. For example, the second body paragraph begins with communication problems but then returns to employment, while “so” and “In addition” connect points mechanically rather than showing their precise relationship. The opening “On one hand” also sets up a contrast that the next paragraph does not clearly complete. Organise each paragraph around one main effect and use clearer links between cause and consequence.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “communication,” “foreign country,” “social,” and “depression,” so the main subject is generally understandable. However, the range is limited and several phrases are inaccurate or repetitive, which sometimes makes the meaning harder to follow. Examples include “find out a job,” “dairy life conversation,” “demend a langauge,” and “lackness to languages.” There are also repeated general words such as “problem” and “people,” where more precise choices would help distinguish employment, social isolation and access to services. Work on accurate collocations and spelling, and choose vocabulary that expresses the intended idea directly—for example, “find a job,” “everyday conversations,” and “language proficiency.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including cause-and-effect structures with “because,” “so” and “which.” However, complex sentences are often faulty, and errors in basic sentence construction, verb forms and articles occur frequently enough to make some ideas difficult to read. For example, “if you not know what people are speakind about” lacks an auxiliary and has an incorrect verb form, while “if you reside … . So its very challeging” creates a sentence fragment. Other examples include “person will spent” and “if you living,” which show problems with verb forms and sentence patterns. Practise building complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, and check articles, agreement and punctuation before adding extra clauses.
