Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

Your position is clear: you state that you “totally agree” and return to the idea that language differences can create serious problems. The examples about travellers struggling to explain where they want to go, older people at airports, and a student separated from their parents are relevant to practical difficulties. However, the response addresses the task only partially because it gives little explanation of the social problems named in the prompt; most examples concern travel and communication. Some examples are also unclear or insufficiently developed, particularly the claim that local people may “take advantage” of visitors. To strengthen the response, explain specific social effects, such as isolation or difficulty forming relationships, and develop each example by showing how the language barrier causes the problem.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs signalled by “On the one hand” and “On the other hand,” and a conclusion. This gives the reader some guidance, and the examples generally remain connected to language difficulties. However, the overall progression is limited: both body paragraphs mainly repeat the idea that people cannot explain themselves, rather than developing distinct aspects of the issue. The contrast markers do not introduce clearly contrasting arguments, and links such as “for instance” are repeated without enough explanation of how each example supports the main point. Some references, including “those people” and “their condition,” are vague. Organise the body around separate social and practical consequences, and use clearer links between claims, explanations, and examples.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “language barrier,” “articulate,” “native people,” and “professional,” so the reader can identify the general subject. However, the range is limited and several words or phrases are inaccurate, repetitive, or difficult to understand. Examples include “numerious social and personal issues,” “fessable problem,” and “regional peoples”; these choices obscure your meaning. Spelling errors such as “barriour,” “challeges,” and “differnet” are also noticeable. Try to learn accurate topic-specific collocations and check spelling carefully. More precise expressions such as “social isolation,” “communicate their needs,” and “local residents” would help you explain the effects of language barriers more clearly.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including clauses introduced by “because,” “when,” and “where,” but the longer structures are often faulty, and errors occur frequently enough to make some sentences difficult to follow. For example, “it cause lot's of troble for people who living” has problems with subject–verb agreement and verb form; “when they lost their parents” shifts tense in a general example; and “those elder people who travel alone in airport” has errors in article and plural use. Sentence boundaries and capitalisation are also inconsistent, as in the opening paragraph and the body paragraphs. Practise building accurate sentences with one main idea and a supporting clause, then check agreement, verb forms, articles, and punctuation.
