Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0
You state a relevant position—“I agree with this statement”—and identify communication, medical interactions, job interviews, and finding accommodation as possible difficulties. These points show an attempt to address both social and practical problems. However, the response develops them only minimally: the examples are mentioned but not explained, and the conclusion does not summarise your reasons or clarify the extent of your agreement. The response is also 142 words, below the required 250, so there is not enough detail to answer the task fully. To strengthen your response, explain how language barriers affect relationships and everyday tasks, then support each point with a specific example and a clear concluding statement.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
There is a basic overall shape: an opening, a statement of agreement, examples of communication and practical difficulties, and a brief conclusion. You also attempt linking expressions such as “for instance,” “on other hand,” and “moreover.” However, the progression between ideas is difficult to follow, and several points are compressed into long, unclear sentences. For example, the sentence beginning “on other hand” combines searching for things, job interviews, and accommodation without showing how these ideas relate. Paragraphing is limited, and the final sentence does not clearly connect back to the reasons given. Use separate paragraphs for social and practical problems, and make each paragraph develop one main idea with clear links.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
Your vocabulary includes relevant topic words such as “communication,” “foreign language,” “job interview,” and “society,” so the reader can identify the general subject. You also try to use a range of expressions, including “face to face communication.” However, vocabulary is basic and repetitive, and frequent spelling and word-choice errors make several phrases hard to understand, such as “challenging moment has came acrose,” “speaking level,” and “searcing for abarment.” Some combinations are also unclear, including “foreign country doctor.” Build a reliable set of words for language barriers and everyday tasks, and check spelling and collocations. More precise phrases such as “communicate with a doctor” and “find accommodation” would make your ideas clearer.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt to express reasons and examples using clauses, including “because” and “for instance,” and you use a few simple sentence patterns. However, control of sentence structure is inconsistent, and errors frequently make the meaning difficult to follow. For example, “In living in different countrys is cause…” has an incomplete and incorrectly formed clause, while “I my view, if we live in the other country communcation has become difficut” lacks clear sentence structure and tense control. Articles, verb forms, agreement, and punctuation also need attention. Practise writing short, complete sentences first, then combine them with accurate connectors. Check that each sentence has a clear subject and verb before adding further details.
