Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
Your position is clear: you strongly agree that living where another language is spoken can create both practical and social difficulties. You address both parts of the prompt with relevant examples, including problems at hospitals and job interviews, and international students feeling isolated. This meets the task well. The practical point is more clearly explained than the social one, however: the discussion of relationships and community participation would benefit from a specific explanation of how language barriers affect everyday inclusion. Your conclusion also introduces language learning as a solution, but this idea is not developed in the body. To strengthen the response further, extend the less-developed points and connect examples more explicitly to the effects of these problems.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs addressing practical and social problems, and a conclusion. The progression from communication difficulties to social isolation is logical, and signposts such as “Furthermore” and “In conclusion” help readers follow the main stages. However, some linking is mechanical or unclear. For example, “Furthermore, it have another factor for agreement” does not establish a clear relationship between the ideas, while “Nevertheless” in the introduction and conclusion does not express a clear contrast. Some references, such as “these problems,” are broad. Use simpler, more precise transitions and make each paragraph’s central point explicit before developing it.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “fluent,” “authorities,” “participate in social activities,” and “feel isolated.” These choices show an effort to discuss both practical and social consequences. However, spelling errors and inaccurate word choices are frequent enough to make some phrases difficult to interpret, as in “contempary,” “crusial information,” “social platform,” and “practicle struggles.” There are also awkward combinations such as “dependent on the mankind” and “worldwide communiactions plays major roles.” Build accuracy by checking spelling and learning common collocations as complete phrases, such as “social integration,” “access essential information,” and “rely on others.” Aim for precise, natural wording rather than adding more ambitious vocabulary.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt some complex sentence forms, including clauses beginning “why” and “when,” and you use cause-and-effect structures such as “As a result.” This gives the response some variety. However, many sentences contain errors in basic sentence construction, agreement, articles, and verb forms, which can make the meaning difficult to follow. For example, “in a country where we live have to speak a foreign language” lacks a clear grammatical structure, and “it have another factor” has incorrect agreement. The sentence beginning “Moreover, people who cannot speak the local language they may find it difficult” also uses an unnecessary repeated subject. Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then add subordinate clauses and check each sentence for a clear subject and correctly formed verb.
