Student answer (Band 5.0)

Living in a country where you have to speak a temporary language can cause social problems, well as practical problems. I agree with that point of view.

The strong reason for that believe is that if you do not have the foreign language it quite hard to live the country because you can not comunicate to people. Eventhough, It's very hard to survive there where everyone is talking different language from yours. If you catch yourself into a huge trouble than you are unable to get out of it. In some cases, he can face racism too which are currently being common among several nations.

For example, if a person have no langauge he wants to make friend but no can speak his native language, he will stay alone forever.

So that's why, anyone who want to go other country he must have to care about the language.

The other big problem for those who had no language can face problem practicaly. If you wants to go to any doctor for checkup or other case when you have will to get a job or many other cases, can face serious issue without job you cannot survive and without heath you can't do anything all these depends on the languages. Currently, many country in Europe are accuiring the people for the jobs on the language basses. For instance, a person is sick, how can he communicate with doctor in that case.

So at the end i will say the country you are living in, must need to learn their language.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You take a clear position by stating, “I agree,” and address both social difficulties, such as isolation and possible racism, and practical concerns involving healthcare and employment. These points are relevant, but they are mostly asserted rather than explained or supported with specific, developed examples. The friendship example is brief, and the doctor and job points are repeated without showing in detail how language barriers create particular problems. The conclusion restates the need to learn the language but does not add much to the argument. The response is also one word below the required 250-word minimum; the 10 words copied from the task prompt were not counted. Develop each main point with a fuller explanation and a concrete example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a basic overall structure: an introduction, discussion of social problems, a paragraph on practical problems, and a concluding statement. This helps the reader identify your main position and the two areas you discuss. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear, and several ideas are joined in long or awkward sentences, particularly the section beginning “If you wants to go to any doctor.” Linking expressions such as “So that’s why” and “So at the end” are repetitive or informal, while “Eventhough” does not connect the following sentence correctly. Use clearer topic sentences, separate distinct examples, and choose a wider range of accurate transitions so the argument develops more smoothly.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “communicate,” “racism,” “survive,” “doctor,” and “job.” The response also attempts phrases such as “serious issue” and “language barriers” (though the latter idea could be expressed more precisely). However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, sometimes making meaning difficult to follow: “temporary language” appears to mean “foreign language,” and “language basses” seems intended to mean “language basis.” There are also noticeable spelling errors, including “comunicate,” “langauge,” “practicaly,” and “heath.” Build a more precise vocabulary for social isolation, access to services, and employment, and check spelling and common word combinations.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple statements and longer conditional or explanatory sentences, for example, “if you do not have the foreign language…” This shows an effort to express cause and consequence. However, the range is limited, and complex sentences are often faulty; frequent errors in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence construction can make the reader pause. Examples include “a person have,” “anyone who want,” “he must have to care,” and “it quite hard to live the country.” Some sentences also run together without clear punctuation, especially the discussion of doctors, jobs, health, and survival. Practise accurate subject–verb agreement and build longer sentences from clearly connected clauses, checking each sentence for a complete grammatical structure.
