Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0
You identify the topic and state a clear position in the introduction: “I strongly believe that language would not be a barrier.” You also acknowledge possible difficulties, including language, cultural and legal challenges. However, the response addresses the question only minimally: it does not explain why you disagree, develop the practical or social problems, or provide the requested relevant examples. The final paragraph begins a point about English and language tests but ends unfinished, so its connection to your position is unclear. The response is also 120 words below the required minimum, leaving too little space to support your view. Develop two or three relevant reasons and illustrate them with specific examples.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0
There is a basic attempt to organise the response into an introduction and a further paragraph, and the opening establishes the subject before presenting your opinion. The phrase “On the other hand” signals a shift, while “Therefore” appears to introduce a conclusion or result. However, the ideas are not arranged into a coherent argument: the second paragraph lists challenges, then shifts to English and migration tests without explaining how these points support your position. The final “Therefore” is left incomplete, and the paragraph break does not create a clear progression. Use a simple structure—introduction, developed reason paragraphs, and conclusion—and connect each point explicitly to whether language causes serious problems.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “language barriers,” “cultural barriers,” “migration,” and “language proficiency tests,” which helps communicate the general subject. There are also attempts at more formal phrasing, such as “enhance their lifestyle” and “geographical boundaries.” However, spelling errors are frequent, including “peolple,” “sevaral,” “requier,” and “assesments,” and some word combinations are unnatural or imprecise, such as “foreign speaking developed countries” and “non native county.” These errors make parts of the response harder to read and limit the precision of your vocabulary. Check spelling carefully and choose more natural collocations, such as “English-speaking countries” and “improve their quality of life.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms. For example, the opening uses a time-setting phrase, and “Some people believe that…” introduces a subordinate clause. However, the range remains limited, and errors occur frequently enough to affect clarity. In “individuals who begins life,” the verb does not agree with the plural subject; “have to face” is needed. The phrase “a international language” needs the article “an,” while “most of the countries requier…” has an awkward article pattern. The final sentence fragment beginning “Therefore” is incomplete. Practise subject–verb agreement, articles, and completing sentences, then proofread punctuation and sentence boundaries.
