Student answer (Band 5.0)

We can face both the social and realistic issues by living in a such country where we have to speak an unfamiliar language. I strongly agree with this statement because we can face numerous challenges even to survive there and many other problems.

First of all, language is one of the significant barrier if we are living in other country. there are numerous public concerns which we can face without knowing the native language of country. Initially, we can do nothing against the crime and other issues such as to stop citizens from producing more pollution. It is because in order to make understand them what are we saying, we have to speak in their language. Furthermore, unemployment will rise if we can't speak in their language. Consequently, it will automatically leads to poverty. In addition, curruption can also increase if we will unaware from the foreign language of country where we are living.

On the other hand, It is necessary because everything which we need, we have to order or speak to get it. Consequently if we have not enough knowledge about the abroad language of any country where we are living, we can't get anything. The major reason is that, for getting anything from anyone, other person will need to understand that what are you saying. Therefore, we can face several serious issues, if we are not ready to talk with others in their native language. For instance, I feel hungary and i have to eat some food from resturant. Nevertheless, how can i order any food if i am not able to understand other person that what is i saying. Moreover, we can face difficulty during transport, finding any job and even to fullfil our basic needs.

In conclusion, it is signifiant to learn a laguage of country where we are living. I strongly agree with this because, otherwise we

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

Your position is clear: you strongly agree that living where a foreign language is needed can create serious difficulties. You address practical concerns such as finding work, using transport and ordering food, and you also mention social issues including crime and pollution. However, the response only partially develops the task: several claims, such as language causing corruption or preventing people from stopping pollution, are not clearly explained or supported. The restaurant example is relevant, but it mainly illustrates one everyday problem. To strengthen the response, explain how language barriers affect relationships, belonging or access to services, and develop each main point with a specific, plausible example. The conclusion also ends unfinished, so it does not fully reinforce your argument.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion, and the reader can generally identify the main topic of each section. You also use linking expressions such as “First of all,” “Furthermore” and “In addition.” However, progression within paragraphs is often unclear: the first body paragraph moves from crime to pollution, unemployment and corruption without showing how these points connect. Some transitions, including “On the other hand,” suggest a contrast that is not actually developed, while repeated “Consequently” and “Moreover” make linking feel mechanical. The final sentence is incomplete, which weakens the overall ending. Group related ideas, use clearer topic sentences, and make each transition express the actual relationship between points.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the general argument, including “unemployment,” “poverty,” “transport” and “basic needs.” There are also attempts at more formal phrasing, such as “significant barrier” and “serious issues.” However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, sometimes making the meaning difficult to follow. For example, “realistic issues” does not naturally express the intended contrast with social problems, and “public concerns” is unclear in context. Spelling errors such as “curruption,” “hungary,” “resturant” and “signifiant” are noticeable. Build a more precise set of expressions for social integration and practical barriers, and check spelling and collocations during revision.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including clauses with “because,” “if” and “even if,” so there is some variety in structure. However, errors are frequent, and complex sentences are often difficult to control. Examples include “it will automatically leads to poverty,” “if we will unaware,” and “how can i order … if i am not able to understand other person that what is i saying.” These show problems with verb forms, sentence construction, articles and agreement. Capitalisation and punctuation are also inconsistent, as in “there” after a full stop and “On the other hand, It.” Practise forming accurate conditional sentences and indirect questions, then proofread each sentence for subject–verb agreement, articles and sentence boundaries.
