Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.5

You have successfully identified the main trends and provided a clear overview of the data. You covered the entire period from 1918 to 2011 and highlighted key features, such as the crossover point in 1971 and the peak/dip in 2001/2011. The data is accurately reported, and the comparison between the two categories is consistent throughout the response. To reach a higher band, ensure that you provide more nuanced analysis of the data points rather than just listing percentages, though your current approach is sufficient for a solid score.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 8.0

The response is logically organized with a clear introduction, an overview, and two body paragraphs that follow a chronological progression. You used cohesive devices such as 'In the following years', 'Post 1971', and 'while' to link ideas effectively. The paragraphing is appropriate, and the flow of information is easy to follow. To improve, you could vary your linking phrases slightly more to avoid repetitive structures, but the current level of cohesion is clear and effective.

Lexical Resource — Band 7.0

You demonstrate a sufficient range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'proportion', 'dominated', 'registered', and 'significant increase'. There are some minor errors in word choice and form, such as 'chosing to living' (should be 'choosing to live') and 'an owned accommodation' (accommodation is uncountable, so 'an' is unnecessary). Despite these minor slips, the vocabulary is precise enough to convey your meaning clearly throughout the report.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 7.0

You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, which is appropriate for this task. There are some grammatical inaccuracies, such as 'people living in an owned accomodation was' (should be 'were') and the aforementioned 'chosing to living'. Additionally, there is a spelling error ('accomodation'). However, these errors do not impede communication. To achieve a higher score, focus on subject-verb agreement and consistent verb forms when describing trends.
