Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response covers the main features of the chart, identifying the inverse relationship between owned and rented accommodation. However, the analysis is somewhat superficial. While you mention the starting and ending percentages, the description of the trends is repetitive and lacks precision. For instance, stating 'the numbers of rented accommodation were decreased over the time' is vague. To reach a higher band, you should focus on highlighting specific turning points or comparing the rates of change more effectively. The overview is present but could be more clearly integrated to provide a better summary of the overall trend.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organised into paragraphs, but the flow between sentences is often mechanical and sometimes confusing. Phrases like 'So, every year citizens gradually left' and 'afterthat' are used awkwardly, which disrupts the logical progression of your argument. While you use some cohesive devices like 'Moreover' and 'On the other hand', they are not always used with sufficient flexibility. The referencing is occasionally unclear, making it difficult for the reader to follow the connection between the data points and your analysis. Improving the variety and accuracy of your linking words will significantly enhance the coherence of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

Your vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, but it lacks the precision required for a higher score. You rely on basic phrasing such as 'huge ratio' and 'own household', which are not standard collocations in this context. There are also issues with word choice, such as 'public of England and wales' instead of 'the population' or 'residents'. You attempt to describe trends, but the lack of varied terminology (e.g., 'fluctuated', 'remained stable', 'surpassed') limits your ability to convey the information effectively. Expanding your range of topic-specific vocabulary will help you express ideas more clearly.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The response contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent errors in grammar and punctuation that occasionally impede readability. Examples include 'households in owned was on the lowest percentage' (subject-verb agreement and preposition error) and 'the rented individuals were engaged 78%' (incorrect verb usage). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with the use of commas and run-on sentences. While the meaning is generally understandable, the frequency of these errors prevents the writing from reaching a higher band. Focusing on basic sentence construction and subject-verb agreement will lead to immediate improvement.
