Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0

The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 150 words, which significantly impacts the task achievement score. Furthermore, the summary of the data is inaccurate; for instance, you state that rented accommodation 'increases gradually' throughout the period, which contradicts the chart showing a clear long-term decline. The overview is confusing and lacks a clear grasp of the main trends. While you attempt to select some data points, the analysis is incomplete, and the failure to reach the word count means the task is only partially addressed. To improve, ensure you carefully interpret the trends before writing and provide a more comprehensive summary of the data provided.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is organized into short paragraphs, but the progression of ideas is disjointed. The use of cohesive devices is limited and sometimes misused, such as 'In Addtion' (which is misspelled) and 'recpectivily'. The logical flow between sentences is weak, making it difficult for the reader to follow the comparison between the two categories over time. To improve, use a wider range of linking words (e.g., 'conversely', 'subsequently', 'in contrast') and ensure that each paragraph has a clear focus, such as grouping data by time periods or trends.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

There are frequent spelling errors throughout the text, such as 'persentage', 'accomodation', 'increses', 'gradully', and 'recpectivily'. These errors are distracting and occasionally impede communication. The range of vocabulary is quite limited, relying on basic terms to describe the data. To reach a higher band, you need to demonstrate a more varied vocabulary for describing trends, such as 'fluctuated', 'plummeted', or 'remained stable', and pay closer attention to the spelling of common academic terms.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The response contains numerous grammatical errors, including issues with subject-verb agreement and sentence structure. For example, 'rented accomodation increses gradully' should be 'rented accommodation increased gradually'. There is also confusion regarding the use of prepositions and numbers, such as 'increased by 78% compering to the owned accomodation around 22%'. The sentence structures are mostly simple, and the lack of control over basic grammar, combined with frequent errors, makes the writing difficult to read. Focus on mastering basic sentence construction and proofreading for tense consistency.
