The chart below shows the percentage of households in owned and rented accommodation in England and Wales between 1918 and 2011.

Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 5.0)

The illustration depicts the number of households in owned and rented a place to live in england and wales between 1918 and 2011, over a centuries.

Overall, households in rented place to stay shows dramatic decline over a periods while the households in owned accommodation shows significant increase over a period.

In 1918, the number of household owned by the individuals is 22% which was the lowest value of it and after it, the show the minimally increase to 31% in 1953 and again it increase by 29% in 1981. Lastly in 2011, it grow upto 64% .

In the household accommodation, 78% was the highest number in 1918. While after it, it show the significant decrease in the line to 69% in 1953 and after that it shows the dramatically decline by 28% in 1981. Lastly, between 1981 to 2011, it show up and down trend but in 2011, it represent the minimally increase to 35%.
