This chart illlustrates the percentage of households in owned and rented accommodation in england and wales in between 1918 and 2011.
Overall, the number of rented followed a clear downward trend throughout the period, whereas owend household significantly increase thoughout the period. Although rented household experienced a dramatic decline in 2001 up to 30%.
In 1918, around 78% rented household were established.then is showes flucatuation.it was steady in 1939 and 1953 less then 70% aorund 68%. and then started decline,in 1961 it lower that 60%.from 1971 to 2001 it was decline by 10% in every years.In 1991 to 2001 it then remained broadly,slipping marginally in 2011 before ending the period at aorund 48%.
By contrast, owned household showed marked great improvment. In the beginning it was at the lowest figure around 22%, but with the passage of time it soared till 2011. In between 1939 and 1953 the number of household were plateaued about 31%. afterward it hiked upto 70%. and then little bit lower 7%.In lowest figure recorded apart from 1981.
