The chart below shows the percentage of households in owned and rented accommodation in England and Wales between 1918 and 2011.

Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.

The under given chart describe the ratio of household in owned and leased stay in England and Wales between 1918 and 2011.

Overall, the chart displays that the percentage of rented accommodation increase while owned accommodation decrease over the period. Before 1971 the rented household was more common than owned but after that owned was increase till 2011

The chart depicts that in the starting of 1918 the ratio of rented accommodation was on peak and owned was not too much common. It was approximately 23 percent in the starting. However, from 1961 owned grew steadily and it reached almost 50 percents and on the other hand rented accommodation grew down nearly 58 percents at the same time.

After 1961 the owned accommodation as a result it was progressed too fast due to lake of demand it hit round about 69 percent in 2001 and in contrast the rented household declined to 30 percent in 2001
