The chart below shows the percentage of households in owned and rented accommodation in England and Wales between 1918 and 2011.
Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.
Student answer (Band 5.0)
The bar chart illustartes, the inforamtion regarding ownership and renting of accomodations in two countries England and Wales between 1918 and 2011.data is presented in percentage.
Overall, the percentage of rented accomodations gradually decreased over the period.while, the percentage of owned accomodations increase drmatically. but after this drmatic change a slight decrease was seen.
The percentage of rented accomodations started from almost 80% in 1918 which is the highest in all years, however it remain steady during 139 and 1953. then the percentage declined gradually from 1961 to 2001. but in 2011 the percentage rose by 37%.
Accomodations which are owned are very less at the beginning starting from 22% and this peercentage rose than stay steady at 31 from 1939 to 1953. After that a dramatic in crease was observed from 1961 to 2001. However this percentage drops from 69% to 64% in 2011.
All in all ownership of accomodations increase between 18918 and 2011. but the rented acoomodation percentage declines.
