Student answer (Band 5.5)
Nowadays, some people give their ideas that they have too many choices for future. I strongly agree with this statement and will give reasons to support my answer.
To begin with, in every society there are many people who state that they have many choices like to secure future or after graduation become a doctor or engineer. When a person completes his degree in any field has many choices to secure his future and support his parents. For instance, if a person completes his graduation in engineering, he has a choice to work in an industry or establish his own business.
Moreover, when people have their saved funds, they have a choice to open their own business and become rich in future. Therefore, thinking of starting a business is common now, people can easily invest their money in a small business and work hard to expand it. For example, if a person has choice to invest his money in a small business may prove beneficial in the long run. Moreover, people have also choice to move abroad for completing their education. They can move on a study visa and after completing their studies they can easily settle there. For example, if a person completes his bachelor's in Pakistan, after that he can move abroad for master's.
In my opinion, nowadays people have different choices which benefit them to secure their future. However, people also have a choice to change their decisions of life because they are independent.
In conclusion, every person has a different choice and different life decisions. Furthermore, they can use it wherever they want according to their choice.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
Your position is clear: you strongly agree that people have many choices, and you give examples involving career paths, starting a business, and studying abroad. These examples are relevant, but the response only partly addresses the central issue. It mainly lists opportunities that people have rather than explaining why there are too many choices or considering whether having many options can create difficulties. Several points are also repeated, such as the idea of securing one’s future, and the examples are not developed with specific consequences or explanation. To strengthen the response, explain what makes the range of choices excessive in modern life and support that reasoning with a more detailed example. A brief acknowledgement of a contrasting view could also clarify the extent of your agreement.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs, an opinion paragraph, and a conclusion. Linking expressions such as “To begin with,” “Moreover,” and “In conclusion” help signal the stages of the answer. However, progression within the body is limited: the discussion moves from career choices to business and then overseas study without showing how these examples build a central argument about having too many choices. “Moreover” is repeated, and the final opinion paragraph largely restates earlier points rather than advancing them. Some references, such as “they” in the conclusion, are broad and could be clearer. Organise the body around distinct reasons, use links that show the relationship between ideas, and make each paragraph develop one main point.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate ideas about education, employment, investment, and migration, including “industry,” “establish his own business,” and “study visa.” However, the range is limited and several phrases are repetitive or imprecise, particularly repeated uses of “choice” and “secure his future.” Some collocations are unnatural, such as “give their ideas that” and “has also choice,” which can make the reader pause. Aim to use more precise expressions for the central topic, including language for the range and consequences of options, rather than relying on the same general terms. Check that word combinations sound natural in English and vary repeated vocabulary where the meaning allows.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including conditional structures such as “if a person completes his graduation in engineering, he has a choice to work in an industry.” The main ideas are generally understandable, but errors in sentence construction and grammatical forms recur. For example, “people have also choice” is missing an article, while “if a person has choice to invest his money … may prove beneficial” has an unclear subject and clause structure. There are also inconsistent patterns in phrases such as “after completing their studies they can easily settle there.” Work on articles, subject–verb patterns, and constructing complete conditional sentences. More accurate control of these forms, alongside a wider range of sentence structures, would make the argument easier to follow.
