Student answer (Band 5.5)

In recent years, people are becoming more interested in various topics at the same time. While some people think that we have too many choices about our life. I largely agree with this statement. Because Innovation of technology and availability of unusual things in the marke are drives peope to choose many things.

One major reason of this trend is increasing developing of Technology and social media. Social media advertisement provides visual image and information about new brands such as clothes, watches, cars and electronice devices. Therefore, by promoting new brands it increase product market value that attract lot of consumers and encourage them to purrchase these at any cost. For example, Sponsoring any fashion brand by popular person can creat positiive thought and trust about this brand among followers. Similarly, the innovation of new style in fashion industries and mass production of all necessary goods alows shopers to display more. That creat impression on public to buy them.

Another significant factor is Finincial stability. High income abality allows individuals to purchase more things fro show up and their hobbies. When people have sufficient economic backup they are more keen to achive many things at the same time. However, excessive choice of different kind of things can led to finincial loses and unexpected consequences. For instant, many famous figure promote expencive things that youngers may fell in economical difficulites. Moreover, we should choice things that are quite affordable and fimillar with our culture and tradition.

In conclusion, Social media advertisement and finincial abalities force people's choices differently. unique and impressive things attract audience to have several cchoices on this. However, people should considered it advantages and potential drawbacks before choiceing any things.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

Your position is clear: you largely agree that people have too many choices, and you give two relevant reasons—social-media promotion and greater financial capacity. The examples about a celebrity promoting a fashion brand and young people being drawn to expensive products help connect the discussion to real situations. However, the explanation focuses mainly on why people are encouraged to buy more, rather than fully examining how this creates too many choices or its broader effects. The point about financial stability is also somewhat unclear: having more income may enable choice, but the link to excessive choice needs to be explained. Develop each reason with a clearer cause-and-effect chain and make the conclusion directly restate your view.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion. The paragraphs generally group related ideas, and signposts such as “One major reason,” “Another significant factor” and “In conclusion” help readers follow the overall direction. Some connections, however, are mechanical or unclear. For example, “However” introduces a drawback without clearly contrasting it with the preceding point, while “Similarly” does not establish a precise relationship between the examples that follow. The final paragraph repeats the main factors but does not clearly synthesise the argument. Use linking expressions only when their logical relationship is clear, and make references such as “these” and “this” point unambiguously to a specific idea.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “availability,” “promoting,” “financial stability,” “excessive choice” and “potential drawbacks.” These choices show an effort to discuss consumer behaviour beyond very basic terms. However, spelling errors and inaccurate or unnatural word combinations are noticeable and sometimes make the reader pause: examples include “electronice devices,” “financial abality,” “achive many things,” and “choiceing any things.” Some phrases, such as “purchase these at any cost” and “have several choices on this,” are not expressed naturally. Build accuracy by checking spelling and learning common collocations as complete phrases, such as “make a purchase,” “financial security” and “a wide range of options.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You use both simple sentences and attempts at more complex structures, including a “While” opening and clauses introduced by “when,” “that” and “before.” This gives the response some structural variety, and the main ideas are usually understandable. However, several sentence patterns are incomplete or have errors in agreement and verb form. “While some people think that we have too many choices about our life” is a dependent clause presented as a sentence, and “it increase product market value” does not maintain subject–verb agreement. In “people are more keen to achive many things,” the construction also needs a clearer grammatical pattern. Practise complete sentences, check singular and plural agreement, and proofread punctuation and clause boundaries.
