Student answer (Band 6.5)
Nowadays, people do have many choices in daily life. It can be in education, a job, or business. There are various ways where a person can see himself improving. If we talk about studies, any citizen can opt for any institute they like; they can even continue their higher education in a foreign country. Talking about job opportunities, people can apply in any city or in any other country they wish for. Finding a job isn't hard if the person himself is willing to do so. They can do a remote job, they can be a connector in someone else's business, or they can choose an offline job. In addition, there are numerous choices in today's world, and there's no excuse for not getting what you deserve.
For example, my dream university was LUMS, but somehow I was not able to confirm my seat there. Then I explored other options like NUST, FAST, and NUMS, and luckily with my efforts I got into FAST with ease. That's how the choices make everyone's life easy. No matter how many doors are closed, there will still be an open one waiting for you. You just have to work for it with pure intentions.
That's why I agree that people do have many choices, and if they are wasting their time making nothing from it, then that's a total waste. It's an opportunity for every citizen to grab any offering and make the most of it. A hardworking person will never find this world easy, as he will be getting opportunities day by day.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses the prompt by agreeing that there are many choices, providing examples from education and employment. However, the development is somewhat limited. While you mention that choices make life easier, the argument could be strengthened by discussing the potential downsides of having 'too many' choices, such as decision fatigue or anxiety, which is often implied by the phrase 'too many'. The personal example regarding university admissions is relevant but occupies a large portion of the essay, limiting the space for a more balanced or analytical discussion of the topic. To reach a higher band, ensure that you explore the implications of your position more deeply rather than just listing examples.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organised into clear paragraphs, which helps the reader follow your argument. You use some cohesive devices such as 'In addition', 'For example', and 'That's why' to link ideas. However, the flow between sentences is sometimes a bit mechanical. For instance, the transition between the general discussion of job opportunities and your personal anecdote about university could be smoother. Additionally, some referencing is slightly repetitive, such as the frequent use of 'they' and 'people'. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that each paragraph has a clear topic sentence would enhance the overall logical progression.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.5
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'opportunities', 'institutes', and 'intentions'. However, the vocabulary is generally quite simple and repetitive. There are some minor issues with collocation and word choice, such as 'making nothing from it' or 'a connector in someone else's business', which sound slightly unnatural. To improve, try to incorporate more precise academic vocabulary and idiomatic expressions related to the topic of decision-making or modern lifestyle. Focusing on collocations—words that naturally go together—will help your writing sound more fluent and sophisticated.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.5
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While your meaning is clear, there are several grammatical errors, such as 'It can be in education' (should be 'This can be seen in education') and 'if the person himself is willing to do so'. There are also some issues with article usage and prepositional phrases. While these errors do not impede communication, they occur frequently enough to prevent a higher score. To improve, focus on subject-verb agreement and the correct use of complex sentence structures, such as conditional clauses or relative clauses, to add variety and precision to your writing.
