Student answer (Band 5.5)
in this period of modernization a fewer individuals think that nowadays we have various own choices across the world. i agree with this notion to a great extent and rest of its related aspects will be explicated in the upcoming paragraphs of this essay.
to commence with, the first and foremost reason behind that is the number of facilities. to explain it many people which nowadays have more facilities rather than the past through which they can do what they want so. for instance, a person have its tecchnical equippment so it can do its work from home or by online without going anywhere which consume less time.the another reason behind thisis that the they have their own choice to dp their own bussiness. to put in simple words everbody has right to run their own work and their choices.
however not all the aspects related to this is good although some aspects cannot be sidelined,. the main reasn for believing this is that it cause seroius obese. to elaborate it, nowadays as a person sit full day it get some serious health issues. one of the main problem is the obesity . for example, a person who sit all the day may become fatty in upcoming yeqrs .
in conclusion, there is no easy answer to this question but in contrast i would said that neither its pros can be neglected and nor its cons.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt but fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, which negatively impacts the score. While you establish a clear position, the development of ideas is limited. For example, your argument regarding 'obesity' as a consequence of having too many choices is somewhat tenuous and lacks a clear logical link to the prompt. The ideas are under-developed, and the conclusion is very brief, failing to effectively summarize the main points. To improve, ensure you expand on your reasoning with more specific examples and ensure you meet the minimum length requirement to allow for a full exploration of the topic.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into paragraphs, which is a positive start. However, the use of cohesive devices is mechanical and sometimes inaccurate, such as 'to commence with' and 'to explain it'. The progression of ideas is occasionally disjointed, particularly in the transition between the benefits of technology and the health consequences. Referencing is sometimes unclear, such as the use of 'it' without a clear antecedent. To improve, focus on using a wider variety of linking words and ensure that each paragraph has a clear topic sentence that directly relates to your thesis statement.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is quite limited and repetitive, with several instances of word-choice errors and spelling mistakes, such as 'tecchnical equippment', 'bussiness', and 'seroius obese'. You rely on basic vocabulary, which restricts your ability to convey complex ideas precisely. To reach a higher band, you should aim to use a broader range of vocabulary, including less common lexical items and collocations. For instance, instead of 'do what they want', you could use 'exercise personal autonomy'. Proofreading for spelling errors is also essential to ensure your message is clear and professional.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, including issues with subject-verb agreement ('a person have', 'it get'), article usage, and sentence structure. Many sentences are simple, and attempts at complex structures often contain errors, such as 'many people which nowadays have more facilities rather than the past'. Punctuation is also inconsistent, with missing spaces after periods and commas. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, specifically subject-verb agreement and the correct use of relative clauses. Reviewing your work for these common errors before submitting will significantly improve the clarity of your writing.
