In fast pace era, people have access to a greater variety of products, services, and lots of opportunities. While having numerous choices can sometimes create confusion and stress, I partly agree that sometime several choice can create unlike consequences, but when managed wisely, it also improves the quality of life.
On the one hand, having too many choices can make decision making too difficult. Consumers are sometime confuse by lots of options when shopping online, selecting a career, or choosing a university. This phenomenon, commonly known as decision fatigue, can lead to anxieties. For example, streaming platforms such as Netflix and online marketplaces like amazon offer thousands of options, making it difficult for users to choose a single movie or product. As a result, people may waste valuable time in product or movie selecting that reduce productivity. In addition, it also impact on sparged too much money on unnecessaries things. Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0
The response addresses the prompt by discussing both the negative and positive aspects of having too many choices. The position is clear from the introduction, and the main ideas are relevant. However, some arguments are slightly under-developed; for instance, the point about 'sparged too much money' is unclear and lacks sufficient explanation. While the response covers all parts of the task, the development of ideas could be more thorough to reach a higher band. The conclusion effectively summarizes the balanced view presented in the body paragraphs.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.5
The essay is logically organized into clear paragraphs, each with a distinct focus. Cohesive devices such as 'On the one hand,' 'In addition,' and 'Nevertheless' are used to guide the reader through the argument. However, there are some instances where the flow is slightly mechanical or the referencing is imprecise, such as the transition between the impact of decision fatigue and the financial consequences. Overall, the paragraphing is appropriate, and the progression of ideas is generally easy to follow throughout the text.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.5
The range of vocabulary is adequate for the task, allowing the writer to express ideas clearly. There are some attempts at less common vocabulary, such as 'decision fatigue' and 'technological advancement.' However, there are noticeable errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'sparged too much money' and 'unlike consequences,' which slightly hinder precision. While these errors do not impede communication, they indicate a need for more careful attention to word formation and idiomatic usage to achieve a higher score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the writer attempts complex sentences, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'sometime several choice can create') and article usage. Punctuation is generally functional, but there are minor slips throughout. The errors do not prevent the reader from understanding the message, but they are frequent enough to limit the score. Increasing the number of error-free complex sentences would significantly improve the overall grammatical profile.
