Student answer (Band 6.0)

Nowadays we have lots of opportunities to improve our life, which makes our daily routine easier and consume wastage of time. I completely agree with this statement because large number to options create confusion and make decision more difficult.

Too many chooses confuse public to select best option for them rather they are talking about their future, shopping or choosing life other decisions. This situation become stressed and find it difficult to make right decision. sometime they regret if they make wrong decision. Example if someone is going to choose his carrier for better future, If he or she made mistake or select wrong path, then he will regret for whole life and feel guilt for it.

But everything have solution nowadays, everyone using phones internet nowadays and they have countless options. Peoples have to read many reviews about everything they are going to choose such as about carrier, shopping, investment many more. this helps to consume there time and energy. As result making simple decision make their goal easy. As compare to previous generation nowadays we can access everything by our own self. Example in 20th century if people have any problem in any situation they take suggestion or help from their friend or ant other person, they give answer According to their knowledge but could not give right answer.

in conclusion I believe that increases opportunities make peoples life more easier rather then complicated. therefore I completely agree that nowadays we have a different variety of option in our life.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position, although the argument is somewhat contradictory. You initially state that too many choices create confusion, but later argue that these opportunities make life easier. This inconsistency makes it difficult to follow your central thesis. While you provide examples, such as career choices and the use of the internet, they are not fully developed. To improve, ensure your position is consistent throughout the essay and expand on your supporting points with more depth rather than just listing ideas. The conclusion also contradicts the introduction, which weakens the overall task response.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the logical flow is hindered by the contradictory arguments mentioned above. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'But', 'As result', and 'in conclusion', but they are sometimes used incorrectly or mechanically. For instance, 'As result' is missing the necessary article 'a', and the transition between the idea of 'confusion' and 'easier life' is abrupt. The referencing is occasionally unclear, making it difficult for the reader to track the progression of your argument. Improving the use of linking words and ensuring each paragraph has a clear, singular focus would enhance coherence.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

The vocabulary is generally adequate for basic communication but lacks the range and precision required for a higher band. There are several instances of word-choice errors, such as 'consume wastage of time' (which is illogical) and 'carrier' instead of 'career'. You rely on simple, repetitive language like 'good', 'better', and 'right'. To achieve a higher score, you should aim to use more precise collocations and academic vocabulary. For example, instead of 'make life easier', you could use 'streamline daily processes' or 'enhance personal efficiency'.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Common issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'everything have solution', 'everyone using'), incorrect article usage, and sentence fragments. Your sentence structures are mostly simple or contain errors when you attempt complex constructions. For example, 'This situation become stressed' should be 'This situation becomes stressful'. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence structures, ensuring subject-verb agreement, and proofreading for common errors like missing articles or incorrect verb tenses. Increasing the variety of complex sentences while maintaining accuracy is essential for a higher score.
