Student answer (Band 6.5)
It is often suggested that people nowadays have to many choices various aspect of life.I completely agree with this perspective because technological advancements have provided countless options, and people have greater access to education and career opportunities than ever before.
One primary reason supporting this view because technology has rapidly developed. In other words, the internet has made it easier for people to compare products, access information, and purchas goods from anywhere in the world. For example, online shopping platforms such as Amazon and Flipkart, where customers can choose from thousands of products and compare prices before making a purchase. Consequently, people are able to make more informed decisions and select options that best suit their needs.
Beyond this, another compelling argument for this stance relates to the increasing number of educational and career opportunities. This is largely because people can now study through online courses, attend universities around the world, and apply for jobs in different countries. For instance, many professionals improve their skills through online platforms such as Coursera or Udemy before securing better employment opportunities. Therefore, having a wider range of choices enables individuals to achieve both their personal and professional goals more effectively.
In conclusion, I strongly agree that people today have too many choices due to the rapid advancement of technology as well as the growing availability of educational and career opportunities.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt by clearly stating a position in favor of the idea that we have too many choices. However, the essay is under the 250-word minimum requirement, which limits the depth of the arguments. While the ideas regarding technology and education are relevant, they are somewhat underdeveloped due to the brevity of the response. To reach a higher band, you should expand on the implications of having 'too many' choices—for example, discussing the psychological impact or the 'paradox of choice'—to provide a more comprehensive analysis of the prompt.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.0
The essay is logically organized with a clear introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Each paragraph has a central theme, and cohesive devices such as 'In other words,' 'For example,' and 'Consequently' are used to link ideas. However, the transition between the introduction and the first body paragraph is slightly abrupt. The paragraphing is appropriate, and the progression of ideas is generally easy to follow, though the overall structure would benefit from more sophisticated linking phrases to improve the flow between the points made.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.5
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'technological advancements,' 'compelling argument,' and 'informed decisions.' There are some minor errors, such as 'to many' instead of 'too many' and 'purchas' instead of 'purchase.' While the vocabulary is sufficient to convey your meaning clearly, it lacks the variety and precision of less common lexical items that would be required for a higher band score. Focusing on using more precise collocations and ensuring accurate spelling will help improve this score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. There are some grammatical slips, such as the missing preposition in 'choices various aspect of life' and the incomplete sentence structure in 'One primary reason supporting this view because technology has rapidly developed' (which is missing a verb like 'is that'). Despite these errors, the meaning remains clear throughout. To improve, aim to incorporate a wider variety of complex grammatical structures and proofread carefully to eliminate basic errors in subject-verb agreement and preposition usage.
