Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5

The response addresses the prompt by discussing the advantages and disadvantages of having many choices. However, the development of ideas is somewhat superficial. For instance, the point about 'online shopping' is a bit repetitive, and the argument regarding 'matriculation' and 'career' is underdeveloped. While a position is clear, the supporting examples lack depth and specific detail. To reach a higher band, you should aim to expand on your points with more nuanced explanations rather than listing several disparate ideas. The conclusion effectively summarizes your stance, but the overall argument would benefit from more cohesive logical progression between the advantages and the drawbacks.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. You use some cohesive devices such as 'Moreover', 'On the other hand', and 'In conclusion'. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical, and the flow between sentences within paragraphs is occasionally disjointed. For example, the transition between the benefits of technology and the mention of international companies feels abrupt. Improving the use of referencing and ensuring that each sentence logically follows the previous one will help improve the flow and coherence of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, such as 'prominent', 'plethora', and 'collaboration'. However, there are several instances of word-choice errors and spelling mistakes, such as 'cloths' instead of 'clothes', 'pettern' instead of 'pattern', 'techanology', 'aplod', and 'vedios'. Additionally, some phrases are slightly unnatural, such as 'I am accord with large extent'. While these errors do not significantly impede communication, they indicate a need for more careful proofreading and a wider range of precise, accurately spelled vocabulary to reach a higher band.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, including subject-verb agreement issues (e.g., 'everyone have', 'craze is increased') and article usage errors. Some sentences are also awkwardly phrased, such as 'people might do bad experience'. While you attempt to use complex structures, the high frequency of errors in basic grammar and punctuation limits the clarity of your expression. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction and subject-verb agreement before attempting more complex grammatical forms.
