A wide choice can sometime proved challenging for many people because a large number of options might create confusion and stress among the individuals . To clarify, people often struggle to choose among a large number of alternatives. Choosing among hundred number of products or courses can be time consuming. in addition, fear of making wrong decision can cause fatigue decision. Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0
The response addresses the prompt by discussing both the negative and positive aspects of having too many choices. You clearly state your position in the introduction and maintain it throughout. The ideas are relevant, such as the mention of 'confusion and stress' versus 'greater freedom' and 'quality of life'. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the point about 'fatigue decision' (decision fatigue) is introduced but not fully explored with a concrete example. To reach a higher band, ensure that each point is supported by a more detailed explanation or a specific, real-world example to fully develop your argument.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.0
The essay is logically organized into clear paragraphs, with an introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion. You use cohesive devices such as 'To clarify', 'In addition', 'However', and 'Moreover' to link your ideas. While these are generally effective, some transitions feel slightly mechanical. Additionally, there are minor issues with referencing and flow, such as the phrase 'due to numerous of choices' which is grammatically awkward and disrupts the cohesion of the sentence. Overall, the progression of ideas is clear, and the paragraphing is appropriate for an academic task.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.5
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'alternatives', 'competition', and 'individual needs'. However, there are several instances of imprecise word choice and collocation errors, such as 'fatigue decision' instead of 'decision fatigue', and 'due to numerous of choices' which is incorrect. There are also minor spelling and grammar-related lexical slips, such as 'suits there budget' (should be 'their'). To improve, focus on using more precise collocations and ensure that your word forms are accurate in context.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While you successfully attempt complex sentences, there are frequent grammatical errors, such as 'can sometime proved' (should be 'can sometimes prove'), 'due to numerous of choices' (should be 'due to numerous choices'), and 'having to many' (should be 'having too many'). Punctuation is generally functional, but there are instances of inconsistent spacing and minor errors. The errors do not impede communication, but they are frequent enough to prevent a higher score. Focusing on subject-verb agreement and correct prepositional usage will help improve your accuracy.
