Student answer (Band 6.0)

In this modern era, yes we have too many choices nowadays.

Regarding future planes, life style, jobs, education, health , agriculture etc.

In my opinion i am agreed with this statement that people have more choices nowadays. If we see the jobs people now have many opportunities they have choice and they apply in any company if they see that this job will full fill my dreams they will do it, if they think this job will not full fill my dreams then they have more opportunities regarding job. And nowadays in this contemporary world applying for job is not that much difficult. If a person have ability to do that job the company will accept him. Because companies also knows that nowadays people have more options.

Firstly, If we see the lifestyle is also changed nowadays people have many more lifestyle options, for example: house, apartment, villa, mansion etc. If we go back and see people have not that much options for their lifestyle.

Secondly, The health facilities have also many more choices, for example: government hospitals, private clinics, well knowledged doctors, professional nurses etc. And also nowadays people have family doctors it is very big opportunity in this contemporary world.

In conclusion, i am agreed with this statement that people have more choices nowadays. As i already mentioned that people have many options nowadays regarding health, education, lifestyle, jobs etc. If we see the technology nowadays is on its peak people have much more options regarding technology example, mobile phones, laptops, cars, aeroplanes, buses, trucks, internet, social media applications etc. This is my opinion on this matter.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses the prompt by expressing a clear position that there are too many choices today. However, the development of ideas is limited. While you provide examples like jobs, lifestyle, and health, these are presented as lists rather than fully developed arguments. The explanation of why these choices are 'too many' or the implications of this phenomenon is somewhat superficial. To improve, you should focus on explaining the 'why' and 'how' behind your points, rather than just listing categories. For instance, instead of listing types of houses, discuss how the abundance of housing options might lead to decision fatigue or social comparison.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. You use basic cohesive devices like 'Firstly', 'Secondly', and 'In conclusion' to signal the progression of your ideas. However, the flow between sentences is sometimes mechanical, and the internal logic within paragraphs is weak. For example, the transition from discussing job opportunities to the company's perspective is abrupt. To reach a higher band, focus on using a wider variety of linking words and ensure that each sentence logically follows the previous one to create a more cohesive argument.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the range and precision required for higher bands. You rely on repetitive phrasing, such as 'nowadays' and 'in this contemporary world', which appear multiple times. There are also some inaccuracies in word choice, such as 'full fill my dreams' (fulfill) and 'well knowledged doctors' (knowledgeable). To improve, try to use more sophisticated synonyms and collocations. Avoid repeating the same introductory phrases and focus on using topic-specific vocabulary more accurately to convey your ideas with greater precision.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

The essay contains a mix of simple and some complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede the flow of reading. Common issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'companies also knows'), article usage (e.g., 'If a person have ability'), and punctuation errors. The sentence structure is often repetitive, relying heavily on 'If we see...' or 'people have...'. To improve, work on mastering basic subject-verb agreement and sentence construction. Incorporating more varied complex sentence structures, such as relative clauses or conditional sentences, would also help demonstrate better grammatical control.
