Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, which significantly impacts the development of ideas. While you address the topic of having more choices, the arguments are repetitive and lack depth. You focus heavily on technology rather than the broader concept of 'choices' in modern life. The position is clear, but the supporting examples are underdeveloped and lack the necessary detail to fully explore the prompt. To improve, you must expand your arguments with more specific examples and ensure you meet the length requirement to allow for a more comprehensive discussion of the topic.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into paragraphs, which is a positive start. However, the progression of ideas is somewhat mechanical. You use some cohesive devices like 'Apart from it' and 'To substantiate', but they are sometimes used incorrectly or feel forced. The referencing is occasionally unclear, and the transition between the introduction, body paragraphs, and conclusion lacks a smooth, logical flow. To improve, focus on using a wider variety of linking words more naturally and ensure that each paragraph has a clear topic sentence that directly supports your main argument.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

Your vocabulary is somewhat limited and repetitive. You rely on basic terms like 'good', 'easier', and 'options' throughout the text. There are also issues with word choice and collocation, such as 'In recent era' (should be 'In the recent era') and 'time saving equipments' (equipment is uncountable). To achieve a higher band score, you need to demonstrate a wider range of vocabulary, including less common lexical items and more precise collocations. Avoid repeating the same words and try to use synonyms to express your ideas more effectively.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the essay, including issues with articles ('in previous era'), subject-verb agreement ('people have totally dependent'), and sentence structure. Many sentences are simple, and attempts at complex structures often contain errors that can cause difficulty for the reader. For example, 'in new era people have more choices as compared to old age as there is not any plausible argument' is a run-on sentence that lacks proper punctuation. Focus on mastering basic sentence structures and proofreading for common errors like missing articles and incorrect verb forms.
