Student answer (Band 5.5)
Many individuals believe that people have too many choices currently. In this essay, i will be discussing on both views and give example where necessary.
Overall, nowadays, some people have a lot of choices to make because of increment of technologies, also because of an increments of job opportunities available currently. For an example, when we have more than ten companies advertising for different job offers, having a varieties of vacancies will make people to have a lot of choices to make.
However, some people now believe that there are a lot of hand work to learn instead of stocking in one office or agency applying for job. Furthermore, the number of literates are growing significantly everyday, so people now know their rights and when to reject some job offers. For instance, in the past most of the engineers accept any offer to carry out their works, most of them even work in the banking sectors, while presently, its very rare to see an engineer accepting any bank offer because of the varieties of opportunities out there.
moreover, many people choose to go into businesses and other self employ because the will have more chance of making money quicker over there more than waiting for one particular job. And also, due to the introduction of technologies like Ai, social media, internet, many people now find it very easy to find different types of job without stressing themself through advertisement and some online promoters.
In conclusion, although its not entirely true that some people of nowadays have many choices but i strongly agree with the statement.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt but struggles with clarity and focus. While you state your position in the conclusion, the introduction is slightly contradictory, as you mention discussing 'both views' rather than clearly stating your stance on the extent of your agreement. The development of ideas is somewhat superficial; for instance, the transition from job vacancies to the idea of 'literates' and engineers in banking is disjointed and lacks a clear logical link to the central argument of 'too many choices'. To improve, ensure each paragraph directly supports your thesis and avoid shifting topics abruptly.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organised into paragraphs, but the logical flow between sentences is often weak. While you use some cohesive devices like 'However', 'Furthermore', and 'In conclusion', their usage is sometimes mechanical or contextually awkward. For example, the transition between the discussion of job advertisements and the mention of 'literates' is abrupt, making it difficult for the reader to follow your line of reasoning. Paragraphing is present, but the internal structure of the paragraphs lacks the necessary cohesion to guide the reader smoothly through your arguments.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
Your vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the precision and variety required for a higher band. You rely on repetitive phrasing, such as 'choices to make' and 'job offers'. There are also some awkward collocations and word choices, such as 'increment of technologies' (should be 'advancement') and 'self employ' (should be 'self-employment'). To reach a higher band, focus on using more sophisticated vocabulary and ensuring that your word choices are contextually accurate and natural.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and some complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Common issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'the number of literates are growing'), incorrect verb forms (e.g., 'most of the engineers accept' instead of 'accepted'), and punctuation errors. Additionally, the use of 'i' instead of 'I' is a recurring error. While the meaning is generally understandable, the frequency of these errors prevents the writing from reaching a higher level of accuracy.
