Student answer (Band 5.0)
Most of the people strongly believes that at present time people has too many choices. I strongly agree with this statement as people has too many alternatives to choose from for any activities.
If we pick education sector for our reference at current scenario a student has many streams to choose on for their higher studies such as medical, commerce, law and so on. and with in those streams also he can choose courses which suits his interest. People almost decade ago do not have these choices that we have. In instance students have freedom to choose what they are willing to study subjects such as ai engineering was not available for older generations.
similarly in case of profession we have many alternatives. Now days a person can be youtuber, gamer, vlogger or influencer. He or she is not required to follow a regular job such as doctor, banker which were the only options for people before.
People now days even have so many choices for mode of transportation. What type of food they want to eat , what category of cafe they want to visit .People are free to be gay ,straight, lesbian or homosexual. these kind of choices was not almost a decade ago.
So therefore i strongly agree that people at present day have too many choices. Either its about their higher education, or their profession, gender, medium of transport. This shows that how we have been Evolved as a society in a positive way.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position and providing relevant examples, such as education, career paths, and lifestyle choices. However, the essay falls short of the 250-word minimum requirement, which negatively impacts the development of ideas. While the arguments are relevant, they are somewhat superficial and lack the depth required for a higher band. The conclusion is brief and merely restates the introduction without adding significant insight. To improve, you should expand on your examples with more detailed explanations and ensure you meet the minimum word count to allow for a more thorough exploration of the topic.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the progression of ideas. However, the use of cohesive devices is quite mechanical and sometimes repetitive (e.g., 'Similarly', 'In instance', 'So therefore'). There are also issues with sentence-level cohesion, where some transitions feel abrupt. For instance, the transition between the discussion of careers and the paragraph on transportation and lifestyle is quite sudden. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that each paragraph has a clear topic sentence would significantly enhance the flow and logical progression of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is generally adequate for the task but lacks the precision and range expected at higher bands. You rely on basic terms like 'many' and 'choices' repeatedly. There are also some awkward collocations and word choice errors, such as 'at current scenario' instead of 'in the current scenario' and 'people almost decade ago' instead of 'a decade ago'. To reach a higher band, you should aim to incorporate more sophisticated vocabulary and idiomatic expressions related to the topic, while ensuring that your word choices are accurate and contextually appropriate.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede the flow of reading. Subject-verb agreement is a recurring issue, such as 'people strongly believes' (should be 'believe') and 'people has' (should be 'have'). There are also errors in article usage and sentence structure, such as 'these kind of choices was not almost a decade ago'. While you attempt some complex structures, they are often marred by errors. You need to focus on mastering basic subject-verb agreement and refining your use of articles and pluralization to improve your accuracy.
