Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt, but the position is inconsistent. You state 'I strongly agree' but then claim 'both of the views hold their own significance,' which creates confusion regarding your stance. While you provide examples like robotics and communication, the link between these examples and the core issue of 'too many choices' is weak. You focus more on the benefits of technology rather than discussing whether the abundance of choice itself is positive or negative. To improve, ensure your main ideas directly support your thesis and avoid drifting into a general discussion about technological progress.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the logical progression is hindered by awkward transitions and repetitive phrasing. Phrases like 'To elaborate it' and 'To substantiate it' are used mechanically. Additionally, the referencing is sometimes unclear; for instance, the conclusion introduces 'better communication' as a new point rather than summarizing the previously discussed arguments. The use of cohesive devices is often forced, which disrupts the flow of the text. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that each paragraph builds logically upon the previous one will help achieve a higher band score.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is limited and contains several inaccuracies. You use 'so much options' (should be 'so many options') and 'To epitome' (incorrect usage of 'epitomize'). There is also a reliance on basic vocabulary such as 'good' or 'new'. While you attempt to use some topic-specific terms like 'robotics surgery' and 'critical situations', the overall range is insufficient to express complex ideas with precision. To improve, focus on learning collocations and ensuring that words are used in their correct grammatical form, such as using 'advancements' instead of 'advancement' in certain contexts.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
There are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. Issues include subject-verb agreement ('new equipments... saves'), incorrect article usage, and sentence fragments ('Therefore, thus results in...'). The sentence structures are relatively simple, and attempts at complex sentences often contain errors, such as 'If both views exist together then it would bring greater advantages.' To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, specifically subject-verb agreement and the correct use of plural nouns. Proofreading for common errors like missing articles or incorrect verb tenses will significantly enhance the clarity of your writing.
