Student answer (Band 7.5)
Nowadays, people have more choices than ever before in almost evert area of life including education, careers, shopping and entertainment. Although some people argue that this abundance of choice makes decision-making more stressful, I believe that the advantages if having many options far out weight the disadvantages because it gives people greater freedom and drives innovation.
One important benefit of having a wide range of choices it that it allows people to make decisions that best meet their individual needs. Thanks to the best meet their individual needs. Thanks to the internet and global markets, consumers can easily compares prices, read reviews, and evaluate different products before making purchase. As result, they are more likely to choose products and services that offer the best value, rather than setting for the only option available.
Another advantage is that greater choice encourages businesses to compete more effectively. When companies know that customers have many alternatives, they are motivated to improve quality, reduce prices, and introduce new products. The smartphone industry is a clear example of this, as manufacturers continuously develop better cameras, faster processors, and more advanced features to attract consumers. Without competition, technological progress would be much slower.
Admittedly, having too many options can sometimes make decisions more difficult. However, this problem can usually be managed by identifying clear priorities and narrowing down the available alternatives. Therefore, the benefits of greater choice greatly outweigh this temporary inconvenience.
In conclusion, I strongly disagree that people nowadays have too many choices. Instead, I believe that having a wide variety of options improves people's lives by increasing personal freedom, encouraging competition, and promoting continuous innovation.

Lexical Resource — Band 7.0
The range of vocabulary is sufficient and appropriate for an academic task. The student uses topic-specific terms like 'abundance of choice', 'individual needs', 'global markets', and 'technological progress'. While there are minor errors such as 'evert' (typo for 'every') and 'out weight' (should be 'outweigh'), these do not impede communication. Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 7.0
The student demonstrates a good command of complex sentence structures, such as the use of conditional and concessive clauses (e.g., 'When companies know that...'). The majority of sentences are error-free. There are some minor slips, such as the repetition of 'Thanks to the best meet their individual needs' in the second paragraph, which appears to be a copy-paste error or a lapse in proofreading. However, the grammatical control remains strong, and punctuation is generally accurate throughout the text.
