Student answer (Band 5.5)
There are some people who thought, that in the present age there are a lot of opportunities available. Like every field is fruit-giving and you can earn a good living by availing the one of your interest.
The present age is the age of technology which is full of unlimited opportunities. There are different fields available for everyone. Like, as for me as a computer science student I can build my future in any field which is associated with computers. I have a lot of opportunities in medical, engineering, and IT fields. As in medical field there is a lot of usage of computers as one in MRI which is the machine to scan a brain in a computer based. Further in electrical and aeronautical engineering there is a lot of usage of computer in training young pilots by simulations. In computer related fields like IT which includes cybersecurity and other programming fields are becoming popular in this age. People can adopt any career in which they have interest because if someone is interested in a certain field he can get excellence in such field and become master is a certain field. It is just because there are a lot of opportunities in almost every field of life.
I would completely agree to the given statement as I am earning a good living by taking part in certain fields as back in time when I was a student I taught children programming languages like Java and C . I learned them by online classes and I mastered these languages just because of a wide range of opportunities available nowadays.
In conclusion, I would say that the present age is the age full of hopes and promises a future full of colours. Thus we must have to find the opportunities which befits our interests and we will shine forever.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt by expressing a clear position, but the development is somewhat limited. While you provide examples related to your own experience in computer science, the argument focuses more on the 'abundance of opportunities' rather than directly addressing the core of the prompt: whether having 'too many' choices is a positive or negative phenomenon. The discussion remains somewhat narrow, focusing primarily on career paths rather than the broader implications of choice in modern life. To improve, ensure you explore the potential downsides of excessive choice, such as decision fatigue or anxiety, to provide a more balanced and comprehensive argument.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow your argument. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or repetitive. For instance, the frequent use of 'like' to introduce examples and the repetitive sentence structures at the start of paragraphs hinder the flow. Transitions between ideas are sometimes abrupt, such as the shift from the general discussion of technology to your personal experience. To reach a higher band, try to use a wider variety of linking words and phrases (e.g., 'consequently', 'furthermore', 'in contrast') to connect your ideas more fluidly.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
Your vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, but it lacks the precision and range required for higher bands. You rely on basic descriptors like 'good' and 'lot of', and there are some awkward collocations, such as 'fruit-giving' and 'become master is a certain field'. While you attempt to use topic-specific vocabulary related to technology (e.g., 'simulations', 'cybersecurity'), the overall lexical range is somewhat limited. Focus on incorporating more sophisticated synonyms and idiomatic expressions to demonstrate better control over your word choices.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Examples include tense inconsistencies ('There are some people who thought'), missing articles, and awkward phrasing ('as one in MRI which is the machine to scan a brain in a computer based'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma usage. While the meaning is generally understandable, the frequency of these errors prevents the writing from reaching a higher band. Focus on subject-verb agreement and refining your complex sentence construction.
