Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position that we have too many choices. However, the development of ideas is limited. While you mention education and technology, the arguments are somewhat repetitive and lack depth. For instance, the claim that 'no problems will be facing to the people' is an over-generalisation that lacks supporting evidence or logical nuance. To improve, ensure that each paragraph focuses on a distinct, well-explained reason rather than listing examples. The conclusion is also quite brief and does not effectively summarise the main points of the essay. Aim to provide more specific, analytical examples to support your claims.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organised into paragraphs, but the progression of ideas is sometimes disjointed. You use some cohesive devices like 'One primary reason' and 'Another significant factor', which helps the flow. However, the internal structure of sentences is often confusing, making it difficult for the reader to follow your logic. For example, the transition between discussing education and the internet is abrupt. Additionally, the use of referencing is occasionally unclear, such as in the phrase 'the biggest facility of the people to live their life'. Improving the logical connection between sentences within paragraphs will significantly enhance the coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
Your vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the precision and variety required for a higher band. You rely on basic terms like 'things', 'ways', and 'life' repeatedly. There are also issues with word choice and collocation, such as 'adapt to a new fashioned' and 'medical appliances' (which is not the best fit for the context of education or modern life). To reach a higher band, focus on using more academic vocabulary and precise collocations. Avoid repetitive phrasing and try to incorporate more sophisticated synonyms to express your ideas more clearly and effectively.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. There are consistent issues with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'there are many choices for the the people for live', 'a student have'), article usage, and sentence structure. Many sentences are fragmented or run-on, such as 'While some people believe this is beneficial. I completely agree with this view'. You rely heavily on simple sentence structures, and attempts at more complex sentences often result in errors. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, specifically subject-verb agreement and the correct use of prepositions and articles.
