Student answer (Band 5.5)
Nowadays the technology has developed a huge infrastructure in every sector, due to which a wide of verity can be experience in a small shop or mall. Because of these individual's think that they have too many choices to decide what to final.
The good thing about the developing world is it has huge number of pros in compared to cons. The most relevant example is tourist destination which is near your hometown you can easily reach their and spent time with family and if there are more than one you have verity to visit which not make you bore by going same place. If we talk about shopping mall, they provide different range of similar things which might also be similar in taste (if food) or look (if cloth/cosmetic), but it depends on your use and likely ness that what is better for health or body.
The availability of several things in one place can be beneficial for most, but a huge problem for some people who has no budget of shopping. For instance, you are not having any budget and limit of spent and you went to a huge shopping mall for buying grocery, but the shops in your route from parking to grocery shop will attract you to spent money on incontinent products, somehow the main master mind behind this is our mindset which knows everything about your lifestyle.
In my opinion controlling your mind will make less choices in your life and if you develop you brain in friendly manner it will become your own enemy

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt but lacks a clear, consistent position. While you touch upon the benefits and drawbacks of having many choices, the argument is not fully developed. The introduction fails to clearly state your stance on whether we have 'too many' choices. The body paragraphs contain relevant ideas, such as the convenience of shopping versus the psychological pressure of consumerism, but these are under-developed. To improve, ensure each paragraph has a clear topic sentence that directly supports your thesis and provides more specific, logical explanations for your points rather than relying on general observations.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organised into paragraphs, but the flow between ideas is often disjointed. Transitions are frequently missing or used incorrectly, such as the abrupt shift between the discussion of tourist destinations and shopping malls. The use of cohesive devices is limited and sometimes mechanical, which makes the progression of ideas feel repetitive or unclear. For instance, the final paragraph introduces a new point about 'controlling your mind' that is not well-linked to the previous discussion on budget. Improving the use of linking words (e.g., 'furthermore', 'consequently', 'in contrast') would help the reader follow your argument more effectively.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks precision and variety. There are several instances of awkward phrasing and incorrect word choices, such as 'wide of verity' (instead of 'wide variety'), 'likely ness' (instead of 'liking' or 'preference'), and 'incontinent products' (likely meaning 'inconsequential' or 'impulse' products). These errors occasionally impede the reader's understanding. To reach a higher band, focus on using more precise collocations and academic vocabulary. Avoid informal expressions like 'master mind' and 'friendly manner' in this context, as they do not suit the formal tone required for an IELTS essay.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that affect clarity. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('individual's think' instead of 'individuals think'), article usage, and sentence fragments. For example, 'if there are more than one you have verity to visit which not make you bore' is grammatically incorrect and difficult to parse. Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma usage. While the meaning is generally conveyed, the high frequency of errors means that the grammar is not yet at a level where complex structures are used with consistent accuracy.
