Student answer (Band 5.5)
Nowadays, a number of individuals believe that people have a lot of options. I strongly agree with view as we have many options in every aspects of life.
Firstly, nowdays people have many options in daily matters. Essentials amenities such as food, medical services, educations, clothings, habitation have variety of options which we can select according to our needs. All these options are available due to technological developments, we can order daily neccessary items without going to market physically. Moreover, in recent times, people have the opportunity to purchase items from another country through internet. These competitive markets have enebled consumers to choose products from local as well as from international market. Thereby, they have numerous choices in daily matters.
Furthermore, even people have options to choose their profession comparatively from the past. From the beginning of university, they can choose their favourite major and they can select which university they want to study too. Fresh graduates can apply for internships and jobs locally and internationally. They have the opportunity to become entrepreneur also as many firms and organizations provide training physically and online. Additionally, individuals have the option which city they want to live in. People move to different cities that meet their preferences. Some people prefer major city where they have more opportunity to do business. One the other hand, some move to countryside area where they can reside peacefully without hustle and bustle. Thus, they have options, they can live where they were born or move to a new country, they can choose the profession they crave for the most.
In conclusion, although having so much options may lead to confusion, but I firmly agree that people should have provide options so that they can choose whatever they like the most.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt by expressing a clear position in favor of having many choices. The ideas are relevant, covering daily consumerism and professional/lifestyle opportunities. However, the development is somewhat superficial. For instance, while you mention that having many choices can lead to 'confusion,' this point is not explored or balanced against the benefits in a way that demonstrates deep critical thinking. To reach a higher band, you should provide more nuanced analysis of the 'too many' aspect of the prompt, perhaps discussing the psychological impact of choice overload, rather than just listing areas where choices exist.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs with clear topic sentences. You use cohesive devices such as 'Firstly,' 'Furthermore,' and 'In conclusion' to guide the reader. However, some transitions are mechanical, and the flow between sentences is occasionally repetitive (e.g., the frequent use of 'they have' or 'people have'). Referencing is generally clear, but the logical progression within paragraphs could be improved by using more sophisticated linking phrases to connect the cause (technological development) to the effect (increased choice) more fluidly. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate distinct ideas.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, covering topics like 'competitive markets,' 'entrepreneur,' and 'hustle and bustle.' However, there are several spelling errors ('nowdays,' 'neccessary,' 'enebled,' 'clothings') and minor collocation issues ('in every aspects' should be 'in every aspect'). The vocabulary is functional but lacks the precision and flexibility required for higher bands. To improve, focus on using more academic collocations and ensuring accuracy in spelling, as these errors occasionally draw attention to the language rather than the ideas.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While you attempt complex sentences, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with subject-verb agreement and article usage (e.g., 'people should have provide options' should be 'people should be provided with options'; 'in major city' should be 'in a major city'). Punctuation is generally functional, but there are some run-on sentences and comma splices. The errors do not impede communication, but they are frequent enough to prevent a higher score. Focus on proofreading for basic grammatical accuracy and refining your use of passive voice.
