Student answer (Band 6.0)
In todays world, individuals are exposed to an unprecedented number of options in almost every aspect of life, from food and shopping to careers and educations. I firmly subscribe to the view that we have too many choices in soma areas, I do not believe this is true for all aspects of life. The most persuasive argument in favor of this view is that we have too many choices in consumers products and entertainment. This is clearly exemplified when buying a mobile phones, there are hundreds of brands, models, and features to compare. Similarly, on platforms like YouTube and Netflix there are thousands of videos of movies. This can lead to what psychologists call choice overload. Moreover, people often feel stressed, confused, and waste a lot of time deciding. In the past, people had only one or two options, so making a decision was much simpler and faster. I fully endorse the view that some important areas of life, we still do not have enough real choices. For instant, in many developing countries, students do not have many options for quality education or good healthcare. A further point worthy of consideration is that terms of careers opportunities, people in small towns may have a few jobs available. In addition, people in big cities may feel overwhelmed by choices, this is not the case for everyone around this world. Accordingly, I remain fully convinced that with the statement. We definitely have too many choices when it comes to product and entertainment, and this can cause stress. However, When it comes to essential services like education, healthcare, and employment, still lack sufficient options.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses all parts of the prompt, providing a clear position that distinguishes between consumer choices and essential services. The ideas are relevant and generally well-developed, such as the mention of 'choice overload' and the contrast between developed and developing contexts. However, the development is slightly uneven; while the consumerism argument is well-supported with examples like Netflix and mobile phones, the argument regarding essential services could be more deeply explored to reach a higher band. The position is consistent throughout the essay, and the conclusion effectively synthesizes the main points.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is logically organized with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Cohesive devices such as 'Moreover', 'Similarly', and 'In addition' are used to link ideas, although some transitions feel slightly mechanical. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate the two main arguments. One minor issue is the comma splice in the sentence '...overwhelmed by choices, this is not the case...', which slightly disrupts the flow. Overall, the progression of ideas is clear and easy to follow, meeting the requirements for a Band 6.5 or 7.0.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is generally appropriate for the task, with some effective collocations such as 'unprecedented number of options', 'choice overload', and 'essential services'. There are a few minor errors, such as 'consumers products' (should be 'consumer products') and 'For instant' (should be 'For instance'). The range of vocabulary is sufficient to convey ideas with precision, though it lacks the more sophisticated or idiomatic control required for higher bands. The word choice is accurate enough that communication is never impeded.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The student demonstrates a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While there is a good attempt at complex sentences, there are persistent errors in punctuation and grammar, such as the comma splice mentioned earlier and the missing preposition in 'convinced that with the statement'. Additionally, there are minor errors like 'educations' (pluralization) and 'soma' (spelling). Despite these errors, the meaning is always clear, and the grammatical mistakes do not significantly impede the reader's understanding. The control of grammar is consistent with a Band 6.0.
