Student answer (Band 5.0)
Few individuals think that now days we have extra choices.
Overall, in todays time we have many choices for example if some one want to buy a smart phone there are to many choices as well same with clothes shoes and many things
I strongly agree nowadays there are to many choices because if a person want to buy an pc there are many options for them for instance if there budget is low then they will get a pc with 1gb graphic card but if they have a slight high fund they can easily get a pc with 4gb graphic card. However its same with clothes if some one want to purchase some clothes there are many types like round neck down shoulder oversize shirts they have many choices also same with paint if someone want to paint their house there are to many choices of paints.
I slightly disagree with this statement since we can get some lack of features like if someone want to buy an smart phone there will be many options similarly (Iphone, Samsung, Oppo, etc) so if buys an Oppo smart phone they will get less features compare to other brands and because this culture of flexing creates and environment where people constantly compare themselves, leading to envy
In conclude, while having too many choices can sometimes lead to unhealthy comparison and envy, It enpowers individuals to express their unique identities and find what they extactly needed. As long as people remain mindful and focus on personal satisfaction rather than external validation, the positives of a wide range of choices outweigh the negatives

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses the prompt, but the development of ideas is inconsistent. You present a position, but the argument is somewhat contradictory; you state you 'strongly agree' that there are too many choices, but then include a paragraph where you 'slightly disagree'. This lack of a clear, consistent position throughout the essay impacts the score. While you provide examples like smartphones and clothing, they are repetitive and lack depth. To improve, ensure your position is maintained throughout the essay and focus on developing your arguments with more sophisticated reasoning rather than just listing examples.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is organised into paragraphs, but the logical progression is weak. The transition between the 'agree' and 'disagree' sections is abrupt and confusing. Cohesive devices are used, but often incorrectly or in a mechanical way, such as 'In conclude' (which should be 'In conclusion') and 'similarly'. The referencing is sometimes unclear, making it difficult for the reader to follow your line of reasoning. To improve, use a wider range of linking words more naturally and ensure that each paragraph focuses on a single, clear idea that supports your overall thesis.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is limited and repetitive. You frequently use basic terms like 'choices', 'many', and 'things'. There are also several word-choice errors, such as 'paint' instead of 'paintings' or 'decor', and 'down shoulder' which is not standard terminology. The use of 'enpowers' (empowers) and 'extactly' (exactly) shows spelling inaccuracies. To reach a higher band, you need to demonstrate a wider range of vocabulary, including less common lexical items and more precise collocations, while paying closer attention to spelling and word formation.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. There are consistent issues with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'if some one want'), article usage, and punctuation. Sentence structures are mostly simple or contain errors when you attempt complex sentences, such as the run-on sentence in the third paragraph. There is a lack of control over basic grammar, including pluralisation and verb tenses. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, ensuring subject-verb agreement, and proofreading for common errors like missing articles or incorrect verb forms.
