Student answer (Band 5.5)
It is often argued that in modern societies As individuals gets so many choices. It plays a positive role in society. I strongly agree with this view because excessive choices lead to decision fatigue and unnecessary anxiety.
It is really good to have many choices because it helps us to have more oppournitties in life but it can also create confusion sometimes if a person is not clear with is choices. However, it can be seen in the world that oppournities help us to have good life with best career growth. It helps the person to have more knowledge which helps to make right decision for their future. Furthermore, the excess have negative psychological consequences. This can lead a person to depression or severe anexity. Due to many choices people get disturbed because they think if they did wrong decision they will be cursed. This will make them feel guilty. This is the reason why people have fear for making decision for their life. Due to wrong decisions many people especially in Pakistan have done suicide and this thing has disturbed there whole family and everyone around gives examples and young individuals feel tortured. For example , in Pakistan people who were at the highest post after clearing the hardest exam of Pakistan could not bear the pressure which was given to them my government officials. Many of them were the only child of their parents so the right choices in life are many important as well many people due to wrong choice suffer a lot in their marriages and at the end they are killed brutally for example Hina Javed who was killed by her husband.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position, but the development of ideas is inconsistent. While you mention 'decision fatigue' and 'anxiety,' the supporting arguments are somewhat tangential. The inclusion of specific, tragic news stories from Pakistan is not effectively linked to the general concept of 'too many choices' in modern society. The argument becomes anecdotal rather than analytical, which limits the depth of the response. To improve, focus on explaining the psychological or societal mechanisms behind why having too many choices is problematic, rather than listing extreme personal or news-based examples that distract from the core argument.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is divided into paragraphs, but the logical flow is weak. The transition between the benefits of choice and the negative consequences is abrupt. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'However' and 'Furthermore,' but they are sometimes used mechanically or inappropriately given the context of the sentences. The progression of ideas is hindered by the sudden shift to specific, unrelated examples in the final paragraph, which makes the overall structure feel disjointed. Improving the use of topic sentences and ensuring each paragraph focuses on a single, well-developed point would significantly enhance the coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary range is adequate for basic communication but lacks the precision and variety required for higher bands. There are several spelling errors, such as 'oppournitties' (opportunities) and 'anexity' (anxiety), and some awkward phrasing like 'the excess have negative psychological consequences.' The word choice is often repetitive, and there is a lack of sophisticated or academic collocations. To reach a higher band, focus on using more precise academic vocabulary and ensure you proofread for basic spelling mistakes, which currently detract from the professional tone of the essay.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
There is a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but the accuracy is inconsistent. Frequent errors in subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'individuals gets') and word order (e.g., 'many important as well many people') impede clarity. Punctuation is also problematic, with several run-on sentences and incorrect comma usage. While the meaning is generally understandable, the high frequency of grammatical slips prevents the reader from focusing on the content. Focusing on basic sentence construction and subject-verb agreement will help you achieve a more stable and accurate writing style.
