Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position and providing supporting arguments. However, the development of ideas is somewhat superficial. For instance, while you mention online shopping and career choices, the explanation remains at a general level without deep analysis of why 'too many' choices might be problematic or beneficial. The conclusion is a bit vague and does not fully synthesize the arguments presented. To reach a higher band, ensure that each paragraph provides a more detailed exploration of the implications of the topic rather than just listing examples.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear progression of ideas. You use some cohesive devices such as 'In addition', 'Likewise', and 'To put it briefly'. However, some transitions feel mechanical, and there are instances where the flow is slightly disrupted by awkward phrasing, such as the sentence 'though individuals have more choices nowadays; but they can make sure...'. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that sentences within paragraphs are more tightly connected would enhance the overall flow.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing you to convey your meaning clearly. You use some topic-specific terms like 'scientific advancements' and 'prevalent diversity'. However, there is a reliance on simpler vocabulary, and some word choices are slightly unnatural, such as 'cite that' instead of 'state that' or 'suggest that', and 'authority of selection' instead of 'freedom of choice'. To improve, try to incorporate more precise collocations and less common lexical items to demonstrate a wider range.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with punctuation (e.g., unnecessary commas after 'that' or 'subject') and sentence construction (e.g., 'If they don't have much interest in specific field than they can...'). There are also issues with subject-verb agreement, such as 'the general populace have' and 'globally companies'. These errors occur throughout the text, which limits the score. Focusing on sentence boundary control and basic grammatical accuracy will help improve your score.
