Student answer (Band 4.5)
Nowdays, In modern era some people thinks that there are too many choices in every category like that in clothing brands and in food there are many resturants. I completely agree with this statement and in this easy i exmine what i think about that with examples.
Firstly, lets we talk about clothing brands category. Nowdays, the competition of clothing brands are on top. What i meant by this is that the there are somes brnads like MTJ, Limelight, Nishat and Khaadi these are top brands in the market and providing good quality and services to our customers with average prices and there are many other brands are also in market. For instance i am with my friend to go market to purchase some clothes for us. He says that the fabirc of MTJ in mens collection is good as compared to the mens colloection of khaadi. But in womens category Nishat have top collection and fabirc. For a childern limelight have a good collection.
Secondly. there is huge market and compitition in food the top brands is such as KFC, Muffins, Almiada and house of kababjees these are the top resturents in market and there are many resturents in market. In good catogery the taste of these brands are so delicious. Specifically the pizza of muffins is so good taste as compared to Almiada and in Zinger burgers the one of the top tastes of KFC and onother hand in wraps house of kababjees is so good.
In conclusion, i agree with this statement beacuse in modern age there are very big market in every category. So, every people have to many choices in each category.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position that we do have too many choices nowadays, supporting this with examples from the clothing and food sectors. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited and relies heavily on listing specific brand names (e.g., 'MTJ, Limelight, Nishat and Khaadi') rather than deeply exploring the societal, economic, or psychological implications of modern consumer choice. While the student attempts to extend ideas through a personal shopping anecdote, the arguments remain superficial and tend to over-generalize. These features align closely with the Band 5 descriptor, where ideas are somewhat limited and under-developed, though the prompt is nonetheless addressed.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay displays some organizational structure with an introduction, two body paragraphs marked by sequencing devices ('Firstly', 'Secondly'), and a conclusion. However, the overall progression is disrupted by mechanical and repetitive cohesive devices, such as starting multiple sentences with 'Nowdays' or 'There are many resturents in market'. Paragraphing is attempted, but internal cohesion is frequently faulty, with abrupt shifts and unclear referencing (e.g., 'For instance i am with my friend to go market'). Furthermore, punctuation errors disrupt the flow, such as 'Secondly. there is huge market'. This fits the Band 4 to 5 profile, earning a Band 5 due to basic paragraph structure despite inadequate and repetitive cohesive devices.
Lexical Resource — Band 4.5
The vocabulary used is basic and repetitive, frequently circling back to words like 'market', 'category', 'brands', and 'top'. There are numerous spelling errors throughout the text, including 'Nowdays', 'easy' instead of essay, 'exmine', 'resturants', 'fabirc', 'colloection', 'childern', 'compitition', 'resturents', 'catogery', 'beacuse', and 'onother'. Less common lexical items are rarely attempted successfully, and word choices are often unnatural or imprecise (e.g., 'good taste as compared to'). The lexical range is minimally adequate for expressing simple ideas, but frequent noticeable errors and a lack of precision place this firmly at Band 4.5, rounded to 4.5.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.0
The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, but these attempts are frequently faulty. Grammatical errors are highly frequent across the text, including subject-verb agreement issues ('some people thinks', 'the competition... are on top'), missing articles ('go market'), incorrect prepositions ('in mens collection'), and severe run-on or fragmented sentences (e.g., 'For instance i am with my friend to go market to purchase some clothes for us.'). Punctuation and capitalization are also poorly controlled throughout. Because errors are frequent and occasionally cause difficulty or confusion for the reader, the writing matches the Band 4 descriptors.
