Student answer (Band 5.0)
These Day, there has been a lot Of talk about having too Many choices nowadays. This essay will delve deeper into the possible reasons, viewpoints, overviews, and advantages causing this scenario before presenting my school of thought in the ensuing paragraphs with sufficient and relevant AND examples.
at first glance, there are several reasons in support of my context, But the most obvious one is that people have numerous options in almost every area of life. For example, one survey conducted by “The Daily News” revealed that people have many choices while purchasing products, selecting careers and using online services. As a result, it is clear why a large number of the people agree with the aforementioned position.
My point is furthr supported by the development of technology and the internet. A famous non-governmental Organization has been working to overcome this situation, and they suggest that people should compare their options carefully before making decisions. Thus, This will not only raise living standards but also make individuals more cautious and practical in their approach.
To recapitulate, it may be argued that, the even thoes , overviews, viewpoints, arguments, pros as well as negatives of having too many choices that I believe that having more options is generally beneficial. Lastly that seems to me that it is a wise idea to use such options, and they are pragmatic as well for a human being on Earth. In order to foster global wealth, productivity, and a fine environment, citizens are urged to make suitable and informed choiS.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses all parts of the task by discussing the phenomenon of having too many choices and taking a clear position in favour of this trend. The student attempts to extend ideas by mentioning products, careers, and online services, as well as introducing the perspective of technology and standard of living. However, the development of ideas suffers from a lack of clear reasoning and some repetitive phrasing, particularly in the introduction and conclusion where template-like phrases are heavily relied upon. While the main body paragraphs attempt to provide examples, such as the reference to “The Daily News” survey, the overall argumentation remains somewhat superficial and circular. Consequently, the task response aligns best with Band 5.0 descriptors due to the limited and under-developed nature of the arguments presented.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The text is divided into four paragraphs, showing an attempt at structural organisation. However, the logical progression is frequently disrupted by awkward transitions, mechanical cohesive devices (such as "At first glance" and "To recapitulate"), and confusing sentence structures in the conclusion. For instance, the final paragraph contains a convoluted and grammatically tangled sentence ("To recapitulate, it may be argued that, the even thoes , overviews, viewpoints, arguments, pros as well as negatives...") which severely hinders the flow of ideas. Referencing is also occasionally unclear. Paragraphing is present, but the overall coherence is compromised by disjointed phrasing and mechanical linking. These characteristics place the response firmly at Band 5.0 for Coherence and Cohesion.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The lexical range is limited and minimally adequate for the task. The student attempts some less common vocabulary items such as "pragmatic," "overview," and "non-governmental organization," but their usage is often unnatural or inaccurate within the context. Furthermore, there are numerous mechanical and spelling errors throughout the text, including capitalisation issues ("These Day," "Of," "Many," "AND," "choiS"), spelling mistakes ("furthr", "thoes"), and incorrect word forms. While these vocabulary and spelling errors do not completely obscure the central meaning of the text, they occur frequently enough to cause difficulty for the reader and prevent the response from achieving a higher band. The vocabulary control is characteristic of a Band 5.0 performance.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.0
The essay displays a very limited range of grammatical structures, and attempts at complex sentences are frequently faulty or incoherent. The text is marred by frequent punctuation, capitalization, and structural errors, such as missing articles, incorrect subject-verb relationships, and run-on sentences. A prime example of severe grammatical breakdown is found in the final paragraph: "Lastly that seems to me that it is a wise idea to use such options, and they are pragmatic as well for a human being on Earth." Simple sentences are occasionally controlled, but errors are persistent and frequently impede communication, particularly in the concluding section. This level of grammatical accuracy and structural limitation corresponds to a Band 4.0 score.
