Student answer (Band 5.5)
Multiple choices provide plenty of new opportunities. Few people believe that present we have plenty of choices. I agree with the notion that myrid choices helps to choose different feild of study, and helps to suceed in your difficult time.
To begin with, plenty of options helps us to know your intrest in which sector you want to study whether it is an It or agriculture sector. This help us to excel in that feild, where you can become a ceo of an organization. for instance, if you are kneen to learn computer there are multiple sub-feilds which are existing like-Ml engineer, Devops Engineer, while you can choose your own carrer path. Hence, multiple choices helps in setitng-up the next decade.
Furthuremore, In the tough-times you could take advice of multiple people to deal with the difficulty. if you are struggling with wealth-realted issues then you have platora of choices to deal with it. For example, if you are willing to construct a home, and if your bugdet exeeds and you have no money to complete the construction then you could take the bank loan to complete the house or else you could take a gold loan which has less intrest. multiple choices also helps in diffrent phases of life, but it should be chosen wisely based on the current situation like- if you lost the job due to AI then you can switch to non-it sector, where the jobs are not replaced by AI.
To conclude, I completely agree that numerous choices helps to lead a successfull life.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt by agreeing that we have too many choices today, focusing on fields of study and financial options. The student presents a clear position throughout the essay. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited and repetitive. While examples are provided, such as IT sub-fields and bank loans, they lack the depth expected for higher bands. For instance, the discussion on AI replacing jobs touches upon a broader societal issue but remains superficial. Therefore, the response aligns best with Band 6, where relevant ideas are presented, but some are under-developed or lack full elaboration.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The essay demonstrates a clear overall structure with an introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Cohesive devices are used to connect ideas, such as 'To begin with', 'Furthuremore', and 'To conclude'. However, paragraphing and logical progression have notable flaws. The second body paragraph jumps somewhat abruptly between unrelated ideas, discussing construction loans, general life phases, and AI job replacement within the same section. Referencing is occasionally unclear, and logical flow is hindered by mechanical transitions. This places the performance firmly in the Band 5 to 6 range, warranting a 5.5 for cohesion and logical arrangement.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The student attempts a range of vocabulary relevant to the topic, including terms like 'opportunity', 'organization', 'construction', and 'situation'. However, there are numerous spelling errors throughout the text, such as 'myrid' instead of 'myriad', 'feild' instead of 'field', 'suceed' instead of 'succeed', 'intrest' instead of 'interest', 'kneen' instead of 'keen', 'carrer' instead of 'career', 'platora' instead of 'plethora', 'bugdet' instead of 'budget', 'exeeds' instead of 'exceeds', and 'successfull' instead of 'successful'. These lexical inaccuracies and persistent spelling mistakes restrict the band score, as they demonstrate limited control over word formation and spelling, keeping the score at a Band 5.0.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, using conditional clauses ('if you are willing to construct a home...') and modal verbs ('could take', 'should be chosen'). However, grammatical accuracy is weak. There are frequent errors in subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'plenty of options helps', 'choices helps') and punctuation errors, such as incorrect hyphenation ('setitng-up', 'wealth-realted', 'tough-times') and stray comma placement. Capitalisation rules are also frequently ignored at the beginning of clauses. These errors cause some distraction for the reader, though they rarely impede overall communication, supporting a Band 5.0.
