Student answer (Band 5.0)

Now a days the issue of multiple choices has become widely discussed. Some people believe that it has pros for individual. I agree with this view because it provides many choices for people.

On the one hand one main reason is if one student has to take admission after completing his school he should have multiple choices for his career , for example one trainee is excellent in biology but he dose not have choice taking admission in doctor field then it will be waste of his talent moreover, it will impact on his life and nation in addition some students also have interest in sports, if they paly well it might be chance that he can represent nation if there will be no choice it is loss of his talent.

On the other hand , a individual should also have choice is switching career as if he is good at coding but doing teaching job than it will be waste of his talent by providing multiple choices we can give his carer now direction and valuble asset to company , another example is that famous cricketer ab devillers he tried multiple sports before selecting cricket as his main game if he never tried that out he would never knew what is best for his.

To sum choices are very crucial for every person and its matter the most we need to feel free to make choice and what is best for us , i agree with this yes now a days we have too many choices

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

The student attempts to address the prompt regarding whether we have too many choices nowadays, taking a clear position of agreement. The response touches on relevant areas such as career choices and sports opportunities. However, the development of ideas is limited and somewhat repetitive. For example, the point about a student being excellent in biology but lacking the choice to become a doctor is slightly confused in phrasing ('dose not have choice taking admission in doctor field'), and the argument tends to overgeneralize without fully extending the ideas. While all parts of the prompt are addressed, the lack of depth and the tendency to rely on simplistic examples place this response at Band 5.0.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The text is organized into paragraphs, including an introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion. However, the overall progression is hampered by very long, run-on sentences that lack appropriate punctuation. For instance, the second body paragraph consists of a massive single sentence connected loosely by commas and conjunctions ('...as if he is good at coding but doing teaching job than it will be waste...'). Cohesive devices are minimal and sometimes inaccurate, such as 'now a days' and punctuation errors throughout. Paragraphing is attempted, but the internal structure of the paragraphs is difficult to follow, resulting in a Band 5.0 score for Coherence and Cohesion.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The vocabulary used is basic and repetitive. Throughout the response, the student frequently repeats words like 'choice', 'choices', 'talent', and 'multiple'. There are noticeable word choice and collocation errors, such as 'pros for individual' instead of 'pros for individuals', 'choice taking admission', and 'carer now direction' instead of 'career new direction'. Spelling errors are also present, including 'dose' instead of 'does' and 'valuble' instead of 'valuable'. The lexical range is limited and minimally adequate for the task, meaning it fits comfortably within the Band 5 descriptors.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.0

The student attempts some complex structures, but these are almost always faulty, featuring major punctuation omissions such as missing full stops and commas. The entire response is largely composed of run-on sentences joined improperly by conjunctions or commas, such as '...if there will be no choice it is loss of his talent.' Grammar and punctuation errors are frequent and pervasive, often causing difficulty for the reader and impeding smooth communication. There is a lack of control over basic sentence boundaries. Therefore, a band score of 4.0 is appropriate here.
