Student answer (Band 5.5)
It is often argued that people have lot of choices in selecting things, as compared to the past. I strongly believe this views point, because with the advancment of technology we have various options in everything like food, clothes and even cars. As compare to past there are only limited options which you have to take it or not.
Firstly, If we compare the companies who manufacture cars in past are only limited to just few numbers, but if we see now there are hundreds of industries who are offering automobile in market, which make it difficult to choose. For instance, if anyone wanna buy his first car or not have enough knowledge about companies it takes a lot of time only just in selecting which is gone best for him.
Furthermore, if we inspect the food industry it changes a lot through out the period. Individuals have only limited amount of food choices, mostly they eat food cooked in their homes. But now there are pelenty of food chains and resturants all around the world, which offers you almost every cusine type like Chinese, Italian and as well as Indian. For example, if you are living in Pakistan, you have choice to choose the type of cusine you want, there are many resturants which offer you authentic italian food, as well as you have the choice to experience the chinese disches without going to china.
In Conclusion, as the world has grown a lot from past decades open the door of choices in every aspect of life.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
The student addresses all parts of the task by presenting a clear position that we nowadays have too many choices compared to the past. The ideas are relevant and supported with examples, such as the automotive industry and food choices (e.g., 'there are many resturants which offer you authentic italian food'). However, some of the ideas remain somewhat under-developed or general, and the reasoning could be extended further to fully justify the impact of these choices. The position is maintained throughout the response, but the lack of deep elaboration places it firmly in the Band 6 category. Overall, the task is addressed adequately, meeting the core requirements of the prompt.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response presents a coherent overall arrangement with a clear introduction, body paragraphs addressing specific industries, and a conclusion. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate ideas. However, cohesion is sometimes mechanical or faulty. Transitional phrases like 'Firstly' and 'Furthermore' are used, but referencing and linking within sentences are occasionally weak, such as 'which make it difficult to choose' or 'as compare to past there are only limited options which you have to take it or not.' The progression of ideas is generally logical, but the awkward phrasing in transitions detracts from smoother flow, aligning the text with Band 6 descriptors.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
The student demonstrates an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, attempting less common items such as 'advancment', 'automobile', and 'cusine'. However, there are noticeable spelling and word choice errors throughout the text, including 'pelenty', 'resturants', 'disches', and awkward collocations like 'views point' instead of 'viewpoint'. Despite these inaccuracies, the errors do not impede communication, and the meaning remains clear. The lexical resource is sufficient to convey simple and some complex ideas, making Band 6 an appropriate score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
The student attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, such as conditional and relative clauses ('if anyone wanna buy his first car or not have enough knowledge...'). However, there are frequent grammatical errors, incorrect verb tenses, and preposition issues, such as 'manufacture cars in past are only limited', 'if you are living in Pakistan, you have choice to choose', and 'as the world has grown a lot from past decades open the door'. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they occur frequently and demonstrate limited control over complex structures, reflecting a Band 5.5 performance.
