Student answer (Band 5.5)

individuals nowadays believe that they have numerous choices in perspective the way they are living like whatever they want to do or what they dont want do in their lifes. i strongly agree with this statement nowadays people can make their own descions for betterment in their future but in some countries it is still a crucial issue.

Firstly nowadays children who are not even adults they are making their own descions somehow it is very big change and also plays a key role to boost their confidence, for instance a chilld who is totally rely on his parents descions and even can not go outside for physical activties by his own choice have less confidence as compare to the other children.seconly people want to be independent nowadays and want to spend their lifes as they want. for example a women can make her own descions how she have to live and pursue his future goals.

Last but not the least in some families its strictly prohibited to live their life like they want to live. it is still can not have their own choices for the future, for example parents wants his son or daughter to be a doctore and forced by their parents that you should be doctor or for the specific field that they want however he want to do something else but he can not do that.

To sum up i agree with this statement that pupil can make their own choices to live the life but in some countries some families emotionaly blackmale their children or some one forced to do something else who really they dont want to become.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear stance agreeing that people nowadays have many choices, and it includes some relevant ideas, such as children making their own decisions and parental pressure regarding careers. However, these ideas are limited and under-developed. For instance, the example of a child relying on parents lacks depth, and the discussion touches upon contrasting points without fully explaining them. To reach a higher level, the writer needs to extend the arguments with more detailed explanations and relevant, fully realized examples that directly support the position throughout the essay.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

There is a basic level of organization with logical links such as 'Firstly', 'seconly', and 'Last but not the least', attempting to guide the reader through the essay. However, there is no clear overall progression due to abrupt shifts between ideas and repetitive phrasing. Paragraphing is attempted, but internal cohesion is sometimes faulty or mechanical, with referencing that is not always clear, such as ambiguous pronoun use ('his', 'he'). Improving this area requires more varied cohesive devices used accurately, smoother transitions between paragraphs, and clearer referencing to ensure a seamless flow of ideas.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The vocabulary used is limited and minimally adequate for the task. The writer attempts some less common vocabulary, such as 'betterment', 'independent', and 'prohibited', but there are noticeable errors in word choice, collocation, and word form, including 'emotionaly blackmale' and 'descions' instead of decisions. Spelling and morphological mistakes occur throughout the text, which occasionally causes difficulty for the reader. To improve, the writer should focus on expanding their vocabulary range, ensuring correct word forms, and using precise terms appropriate for an academic context.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The writing demonstrates a very limited range of structures, relying mostly on simple sentences with frequent attempts at complex sentences that are often faulty. There are frequent grammatical errors in verb forms, subject-verb agreement, and articles, such as 'a women can make' and 'parents wants his son'. Punctuation is also weak, with run-on sentences and a lack of capitalization. These frequent errors cause difficulty for the reader. To achieve a higher score, the writer must demonstrate better control over complex sentence structures and significantly reduce basic grammatical errors.
