It has been thoroughly acknowledged by a massive proportion that people presently have numerous choices. Everyone is busy engaging in different activities, whether looking for a job, working in different offices, deciding a career after graduation, choosing what to watch or even having multiple options of the cuisines. In this contemporary era, the choices are skyrocketing in every aspect of life. People didn't had a lot of options back in the early 90's, they were more determined and focused on a single choice. They were aware about the career they will opt for. Our ancestors didn't had different dinning options back then so they were thankful for their meals.
In this innovative era, people tends to have a variety of options. WIth the technological advancements taking place on massive proportion each and every year, humans are getting plenty of options. I firmly agree with this statement, we are having a tremendous amount of options in this present era. The reason behind that are the innovations that have been increasing on a rapid scale. Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
The response addresses all parts of the task by taking a clear position on whether we currently have too many choices. Relevant ideas are presented, such as the comparison between past generations and modern society across various aspects like career paths and dining options, which demonstrates an understanding of the prompt. However, some ideas are more fully developed than others. For example, while the point about career flexibility and internet access in the second paragraph is reasonably expanded, the initial overview of past lifestyles remains somewhat general and lacks deeper extension. To reach a higher level, the writer should ensure that every main idea is thoroughly supported with more specific explanations and fully realized examples rather than superficial generalizations.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The essay presents a coherent overall arrangement with a discernible introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion that clearly states the writer's position. However, the progression of ideas is sometimes mechanical, and referencing between sentences can be unclear. For instance, the transition between discussing past ancestors in the first paragraph and the technological advancements in the second lacks a smooth logical bridge. Furthermore, cohesive devices are sometimes basic or repetitive. To improve, the writer should employ a wider range of cohesive links naturally, ensure that paragraph topics transition fluidly into one another, and maintain a clear, overarching logical progression throughout the entire essay.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
The vocabulary used is adequate for the task, successfully conveying the writer's ideas about modern choices and technological growth. The student attempts to use less common items and subject-specific phrases such as 'contemporary era', 'technological advancements', and 'AI chatbots'. However, there are noticeable spelling and word choice errors, such as 'dinning', 'tends to have' (error in subject-verb agreement regarding vocabulary patterns), 'adoloscents', 'bui just clcking', and 'especific', alongside awkward collocations like 'massive proportion'. These errors do not seriously impede communication, but they highlight the need for greater precision. To achieve a higher band, the writer must expand their lexical range and eliminate spelling and word-form inaccuracies.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The essay features a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, demonstrating an attempt to incorporate subordinate clauses and varied structures. Nevertheless, there are frequent structural and grammatical errors that occasionally cause difficulty for the reader. Notable issues include tense and auxiliary errors such as 'People didn't had', 'ancestors didn't had', and 'Homo sapiens did't had', where the base verb form should follow the auxiliary verb. Other errors involve misuse of articles, prepositions, and pluralisation. To progress, the writer needs to demonstrate better control over basic verb forms, improve sentence-level accuracy, and reduce the frequency of grammatical slips in complex structures.
