Student answer (Band 5.5)
In this modern day we have many choices. I agree with this statement whereas it has some disadvantage too.
On the one hand, technology are more advance in this day. People knowledge and skills are upgrade by the used of such technology. Business are established more and more which give options for the individuals. Due to over population and migration many shopping center are open and they are running successfully. For example, my mother said that at the age of 25 she was working because there are limited opportinuties for selection. Although, now I am at the age of 20 getting more jobs with my own choices. Therefore, this day age doesn't matter only the capacity of citizens determined.
On the other hand, due to various selection done by the workers business are difficults to run. The staffs are working for 1 to 2 months and went to other places because they have many field of work. A clear example of this is my family have a fashion clothes shops. In this market we have 2 female staffs but each staffs aren't working more the 5 months. So we have difficulties to find other workers too. This all are happining because of more choises are available for them.
To conclude that in this day many business are growing rapidly which assist them to select of their needs. So popolations and migration also play the virtal role in the field of selections. Although, the owner of the markets are facing problmes due to such acticities done by the peoples.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You give a relevant response and present both benefits and drawbacks of having more choices, using examples about employment and your family’s clothing shop. Your position is partly clear: you agree that choices have increased, while noting disadvantages, but the opening phrase “I agree … whereas it has some disadvantage too” does not clearly state how far you agree. The discussion also shifts from the broad question of choices in modern life to job options and staffing, without explaining whether other kinds of choice are excessive or why having too many choices is a problem. Develop your central view more fully and explain the significance of each example, especially how staff turnover demonstrates a drawback of increased choice.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting contrasting points, and a conclusion. “On the one hand” and “On the other hand” help signal the change in direction, and the examples are placed alongside the relevant points. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow: the first body paragraph moves from technology to business growth, population, shopping centres, and employment without clearly connecting each step. Some linking expressions are also awkward or repetitive, such as “Therefore” and “Although” in places where the relationship between ideas is unclear. The conclusion repeats earlier points rather than bringing them together. Use clearer topic sentences and explain the links between claims and examples.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use a basic range of vocabulary relevant to choices, employment, and business, including “opportunities,” “migration,” “capacity,” and “difficulties.” These words help communicate the main subject, but the range is limited and several word choices or forms are inaccurate, sometimes making the meaning less clear. Examples include “technology are more advance,” “various selection,” “more choises,” and “the virtal role.” Some phrases, such as “field of work” and “select of their needs,” do not express the intended meaning naturally. Aim to learn common collocations for discussing employment and consumer choice, and check spelling and word forms carefully. More precise vocabulary would help distinguish between having many options and having too many options.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including a reason clause beginning “because” and a contrast introduced by “Although.” However, the range of structures is limited, and complex attempts are often faulty. Agreement errors appear in “technology are” and “business are,” while tense and verb-form problems occur in “my mother said … she was working because there are” and “staffs are working … and went.” Articles, plurals, and sentence construction also need attention, as in “my family have a fashion clothes shops” and “each staffs aren't working.” These errors recur and can make relationships between ideas difficult to follow. Practise building accurate sentences with one main clause and a clearly controlled subordinate clause, then check agreement and tense consistency.
