Student answer (Band 5.5)
It is often argued that the modern world generation have different ideas. I completely agree with this opinion and this essay will discuss further more details about this topic.
First of all, I believed that new generation have various choices with the decision fatigue and anxiety. When faced with countless options in day today life people get stress and anxious about making wrong decision. People can't keep their mind in focus because of the too many options are avaible in present. For instance, in a supermarket there may be 20 types of hair conditioner or shampoo. Instead of feeling happy, a customer spends 5 to 10 minutes comparing to each products and may still reject their purchase.
Secondly, In present all over the world people competing each other. Because competition improves quality of the person. More choice creates competition, which forces companies to improve quality and lower prices. Businessmen always competing to their opposite because to keep their quality and wealthness. For an example, If there are 10 phone brands instead of two companies like Samsung and Apple must innovate and offer better prices to attract customers which benefits consumers.
In conclusion, although having many options gives us a headache like decision fatigue and competition. I believe that in our daily lives to excess of choice often leads to confusion and competitiveness. Therefore, it is important to learn to limit our choices and make decisions more accurate

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
Your position is clear: you completely agree that people have too many choices, and both body paragraphs relate to this view. The supermarket example illustrates how options can cause indecision, while the phone-brand example supports your point about competition benefiting consumers. However, the response only partly develops the task: the competition paragraph mainly presents a benefit of choice, without explaining how this affects your overall agreement that there are too many choices. The conclusion also introduces “competitiveness” as a problem without developing it earlier. The response is 13 words below the required minimum, and the ideas would benefit from further explanation and a more direct link to your position.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs signalled by “First of all” and “Secondly,” and a conclusion. The examples are placed in relevant paragraphs, so the reader can follow the main points. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear: the opening claim about “different ideas” does not lead directly into the argument about choice, and the second paragraph shifts from competition between people to competition between companies. Some linking is mechanical or inaccurate, such as “For an example,” and the conclusion repeats earlier points rather than drawing them together clearly. Make each paragraph develop one central claim and use transitions that show the precise relationship between ideas.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “decision fatigue,” “countless options,” “competition,” and “innovate,” and the examples make the meaning generally understandable. There is also an attempt to use more specific language than basic terms such as “choice.” However, word choice and collocation are often inaccurate or repetitive, as in “modern world generation,” “wealthness,” and “competing to their opposite.” Spelling errors such as “avaible” also reduce accuracy. These issues sometimes make the reader pause to interpret your meaning. Build a more reliable range of phrases for discussing consumer choice and competition, and check spelling and natural word combinations when editing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a conditional example beginning “If there are 10 phone brands,” and a sentence explaining that competition “forces companies to improve quality and lower prices.” However, the range is limited, and errors occur frequently enough to affect clarity. Examples include subject–verb agreement in “the modern world generation have” and “people competing each other,” missing or incorrect articles in “making wrong decision,” and the faulty construction “because of the too many options are available.” Sentence boundaries and capitalization are also inconsistent. Practise accurate subject–verb agreement, articles, and complete clause structures before adding more complex forms; careful proofreading would help make your meaning easier to follow.
