Student answer (Band 5.0)

Yes i am agree with this statement. nowadays as the life become modren and in every field we have so much choices than previous people. If we look and think about this so nowadays every field has developed so much and produce many choices for us. For example in fasion we have many type of outfits, shoes, other things so we have to decide that what i chose for specific function etc and in previous time people have not that much choices because they have not many types and are not modren. in that way if we look we have so much different type of dishes in which we have to select what to eat for each time, both in resturent and as well as in home we have many option for each time to select a dish.and in that way if we look at education sector, now there are so many fields, programes, subjetcs. if we are good and interested in any of field we have choice to choose study in this particular subject like if we are not interested in maths and engeenring field we can study biology and medical fields. we have agriculture, forestry, microbiolgy etc so many choices. we are not bind and forced to study specific thing, we have our choice. and in this way we have so many choices in everyday life like tranportation, selection of school, college, university as there are many choices availible almost in many areas . So if we think about this in previous time when people were not that much advanced the choices were limited than nowadys.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You clearly agree that people have more choices today, and you address the question with relevant examples from fashion, food, education and transport. The education example is particularly useful because you explain that students can choose subjects suited to their interests, rather than being forced into one path. This gives the response a clear, relevant position. However, several examples are listed rather than fully explained: the discussion of food, for instance, says there are many dishes but does not show whether this abundance is beneficial or overwhelming. The comparison with the past is also asserted broadly. To develop the argument further, explain the effects of having so many options and support the comparison with a specific reason or example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

The examples follow a generally understandable sequence, moving from fashion and food to education and everyday services, and the reader can identify your overall argument. However, the response is presented as one long paragraph, so the main points are not clearly separated. Linking phrases such as “in that way” and “if we look” recur frequently and make the progression feel repetitive rather than carefully guided. Some connections are also unclear, particularly the transition from the food example to education. Organise the essay into an introduction, separate body paragraphs for related examples, and a conclusion. Use a wider range of precise links, and make sure each paragraph develops one central point before moving to the next.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate examples across several areas, including “outfits,” “education sector,” “agriculture” and “transportation.” This range helps make your position understandable. However, many words and phrases are repeated, especially “choices,” “many” and “in that way,” which limits flexibility. There are also noticeable spelling errors, such as “modren,” “resturent” and “availible,” and some word combinations are unnatural, including “many type of outfits” and “select a dish for each time.” These do not prevent the reader from understanding the main ideas, but they reduce precision and fluency. Practise accurate spelling and collocations, and use alternatives such as “options,” “variety” and “range” where appropriate.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt to connect ideas in longer sentences and use conditional phrasing, as in “if we are good and interested in any of field,” alongside simpler statements such as “we have our choice.” This shows some variety, and your main meaning is generally recoverable. However, sentence structures are often inaccurate or run together. For example, “Yes i am agree” has an incorrect verb pattern, while “nowadays as the life become” has problems with the article and verb form. There are also errors in agreement, plurals and punctuation, and several sentences lack clear boundaries. Work on basic sentence patterns first, then build longer sentences with accurate clauses. Use full stops to separate examples and check subject–verb agreement and articles.
