Student answer (Band 5.0)

SOME PEOPLE BELEIVED THAT NOWADAYS WE HAVE TOO MANY CHOICES IS A SERIOUS AND CONCERNING ISSUE ACROOS THE GLOBE. IT IS WIDELY BELIVED THAT THIS ISSUE HAS BECOME INCRESINGLY SIGNIFICANT IN MODERN SOCIETIES. SOME PEOPLE BELIVED TAHT NOWDAYS WE HAVE TOO MANY CHOICES BECAUSE OF THE ADVANCING SOCIETIES AND EMERGING TRENDS AND TECHNALOGIES WHILE OTHER HAND FOLKS BELEIVED THAT DUE TO ADVANCING SOCIETIES WE WE DONOT HAVE MULTIPLE CHOICES DUE TO COMPLEX NATURE OF SYSTEM.I STRONGLY AGREE WITH THIS IDEA THAT NOWADAYS WE HAVE TOO MANY CHOICES. THIS ESSAY WILL DISCUSS THE FACTS THAT NOWADAYS WE HAVE BUNCH OF CHOICES.

ONE IMPORTANT WAY TO BELIEVED THAT WITH THE ADVANCIBNG SOCIETIES WE HAVE MANY CHOICES. FOR INSTANCE, PEOPLE HAVE ADVANCED MOBILE PHONES AND IN THOSE TECHNOLOGIES WE HAVE MANY CHOICES TO LEARN NEW SKILLS THROUGH OUR PHONES WITHOUT GOING ANYWHERE. IN ADDITION, NOWADAYS WHERE SOCIETIES ARE DEVELOPED WITH VARIOUS FACILITIES LIKE ROADS, BUSES, TRAINS, AIRPLANS AND MANY OTHER. FOR EXAMPPLE WITH THESE ADVANCING FACILITIES PEOPLE TRAVEL FAR AWAY IN ANY MOMENT IN LESS TIME AS COMPARED TO PRIMITVE TIME WHERE TO LEARN OR HAVING ADDITIONAL EDUCATION PEOPLE HAVE TO TRAVEL MILES IN MANY DAYS BUT WITH ADVANCING FACILITIES THEY TRAVEL MILES IN VERY LESS TIME.

ANOTHER IMPRESSING REASON TO BELIEVE THAT NOWADAYS PEOPLE HAVE COUPLE OF CHOICES IS THAT IN OLD AGES VER MINUTE FILELDS WERE THERE FOR PRACTICING AND AS WELL AS FOR EARNING. FOR INSTANCE, IN OLD TIME PEOPLE HAVE SOME SPECIFIC FIELDS TO EARN LIKE MEDICAL, ENGINEAR AND LABOUR BUT DUE TO ADVANCING SOCIETIES WE HAVE MANY MORE FIELDS LIKE COMPUTER, LAW, NURSING, AI, AND MANY OTHERS WHERE PEOPLE LEARN AND EARN VERY HIGH.

IN CONCULUSION, ALTHOIGH SOME PEOPLE BELIVE THAT NOWDAYS WE HAVE LESS CHOICES IT IS JUST BECAUSE THEY ARE UNAWARE AND THEY DONOT URGE TO LEARN NEW SKILLS THAT HELP THEM TO EARN. WITH THE ADVANCING SOCIETIES AND WITH A NEW WORLD ORDER PEOPLE MUST HAVE TO LEARN NEW SKILLS AND WITH THAT THEY HAVE COUPLE OF CHOICES WHERE THEY SERVE TO EARN.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

Your position is clear by the end of the introduction: “I strongly agree” that people have too many choices, and the body gives relevant examples involving mobile-phone learning, transport, and career fields. These examples show an understanding of the topic. However, the response only partly develops the argument. The transport example mainly explains that travel is faster, rather than showing how this creates more choices, and the career paragraph lists fields without explaining how people benefit from having alternatives. The introduction also presents an opposing view, but the essay does not examine it in a balanced or specific way. Explain the link between each example and your position, and develop one or two consequences of having many options.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable essay structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion. The body paragraphs also have distinct topics: technology and transport in one, and employment fields in the other. Linking expressions such as “For instance,” “In addition,” and “In conclusion” help signal movement between points. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow, and several ideas are joined in long, repetitive sentences. The introduction repeats the claim about too many choices, while the conclusion introduces the idea that people “do not urge to learn new skills” without developing it earlier. Use clearer topic sentences, keep each paragraph focused on one reason, and make connections between examples and the main argument more explicit.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You attempt topic-related vocabulary, including “emerging trends,” “facilities,” “specific fields,” and “advancing societies,” and the reader can generally identify your intended subjects. However, the vocabulary is limited and often repetitive, especially the repeated use of “advancing societies,” “choices,” and “nowadays.” Frequent spelling errors and inaccurate word forms—such as “beleived,” “incresingly,” “technalogies,” and “enginear”—make the writing harder to read. Some combinations are also unnatural, for example “people travel far away in any moment” and “fields to earn.” Build a more accurate range of collocations for technology, transport, and career options, and proofread spelling and word forms carefully.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You attempt to use both simple statements and longer sentences with clauses, including “while other hand folks believed…” and “although some people believe…”. This shows an effort to connect ideas rather than relying only on short sentences. However, complex sentences are often faulty, and errors in sentence structure, verb forms, agreement, and articles frequently make the meaning unclear. For example, “ONE IMPORTANT WAY TO BELIEVED” does not form a grammatical clause, and “people have to travel miles in many days” has an unclear grammatical relationship between its parts. The opening is also a run-on sequence of claims. Practise building accurate subject–verb sentences first, then add one subordinate clause at a time; use full stops to separate complete ideas.
